I just remembered one more thing but there may be more as time goes by,
Why is it that the Noverstorm ( or noverslayer ) Torpedo cost about 3000 each it does 60000 hull dammage each shot but the Supernova torpedo costs 250000 each and all it does is 5000 shield dammage did someone forget to take their finger off of the 0 button as it stops you from wanting to use that torpedo.

the answer is, the novaslayer handles like a drunken pig, whilst the the original high powered torpedoes from vanilla FL have moderate tracking abilities (i.e. when a VHF is flying straight at you, after his shields are gone, you can take him out with one shot - but you have to have the shields down!)

also, the novaslayer can't crack shields - it has 0 impact, which makes it fairly hopeless against battleships in 1.28, before you get their shields down. However, once the shields are gone, you can kiss your battleship goodbye.

Thanks - i think he was talking about the crippler.
The reason is - its fairly quick, but has a large blast range....around 400m or something like that - so it can drop the shields of alot fo ships. We WERE going to make it 1k, but then problems would occur perhaps....not sure yet. However, now that you can lose ammo if you die, perhaps the prices can drop a bit. They were high because you NEVER lost ammo when dying, at which point any ammo is a safe and sonud investment - it didn't matter if you had full cargo etc, and didn't use one torp, cause they were there after respawn. Perhaps now that they are loseable, i can change some values a little

By the way, Shikoku is in Kusari space. Its not that strange, as pirates aren't limited to one area, hence corsairs in Bretonia and Kusiar, as well as border worlds - like outcasts in Kusari and liberty as well as border worlds etc.

Nomads are supposed to be tough as nails, they are supposed to make you frightened when you see them. They are tough nutters, but their pilots are worth 40k on toledo...but it really is only for the insanely brave

Docking problem is due to making stations for capships dockable. Thats all.

Ok thanks for the replies, as for the nomads I notice there are 2 different kinds of nomads, the ones in Alpha and Gamma that are near impossible to kill and the ones in Omicron major and minor that are easy to kill but all they drop are bots and bats, I must have killed about 200 of them and got nothing of any worth but I did notice that the order now sell me anything on Toledo.
As for the Novaslayer torpedo it can destroy any battleship in the Aluetia system if you fire 6 at them, Im not sure if they carry shields on the battleships in that system but I have no problem destroying them.
I should mention that I use the opensp mod I dont play online.
But can you explain why it is near impossible to kill the hessian supreme heavy fighter, I took on a 50,000 mission in Berlin which isnt much and I went up against 2 of them destroyed the shield but the hull would not budge, no matter what guns I used on them I could not destroy them.
Also why is it that when you take on a mission in liberty against the Rogues they attack you in wolfhounds they are carrieing usiel and vassego sometimes adv vassego but as 2 of them fly towards you not matter what shield you have they will take it down yet I have been in battles with about 20 Blood dragons some flying the S.H.F and they hardly ever manage to drop my shields and their guns are better.

The upcoming patch will fix the hessians, orcas and paladins frmo being tough to kill - its due to sur file errors.

The battleships are intentionally fairly easy to kill - so as poeple bother! It used to be 16 ship fleets appearing, but unfort that causes lag on servers. However, it was great fun watching, and if you engaged without a very good ship you only had a chance of taking out a cruiser at best.

About the rogues - some carry shield killers - so beware!

It seems that i could put anything on the website in that FAQ and no-one would pay notice. IT seems the install instructions are also ignored. I dispair!

Did you do a full reinstall of FL and install the SDK like asked?
Did you delete all autosaves and save games from the folder like i asked?

If you did, then do it once more - because something is not right. It works for everyone else - and really is down to save games/bad files. Try deleting the FL folder, installing FL again, deleteing all the save games, installing the SDK, delete the mod, re-download the mod - then try.

I have found a small problem with the opensp version for evolution 1.28 when you select to start in california you start in colerado, I no its only a small bug but I thought you might want to no.
Oh by the way where you mentioned that the rogues used shield strippers in the high priced missions I managed to scan one of them before it blew me up and all they carry are Adv Vassego,s and usiels none of which strip shields so how are they stripping my shields , what weapons are they using that does the ammount of dammage that they manage to do.
I no these are very small points and I dont want you to get the idea that I am complaining for the sake of it, I love the mod but I just want answers because it gets annoying when you find yourself going up against 2 Rogue Wolfhounds and find yourself floating in space in a matter of 5 seconds.

Well, they may have up to 8 guns doing 8.33 refire at 200+ damage per shot.

That means each and every rogue who shoots you (as there is usually more than one) will be doing around:

8*8.33*200 damage to your hull - if you halve this you get the shield:

Approx about 12800 per second per ship of hull damage = 6400 damage per second per ship in shield.

That would strip shields away, especially if there are 3 shooting.

They all shoot better, more acurately and for longer than before.

The other alternative is that they are carrying missiles (canot remember) and ripper mines - which would kill ya quick

The level 25 Corsair Titans are packing Tizona Del Cids in some of the missions, but those are the only ones I know of that carry shield guns. That said, the SHFs can shred your shields just the same with normal guns since they carry more of them.

Your new Mod is great the changes to the unknown sytems gives the FL universe more playing options thna ever before along with the other changes. I am having trouble with a number of missing jumpgates, bases, wrecks, and jumpholes in Auletia, Alaska, Edinburg, and the Omicron systems ---this is true only for the new changes--- I have flown through all the existing systems but the 1.28 additions do not appear there. I have been playing the Open SP option with the new patch. Please let me know if you have any suggestions to fix the bugs. Thanks

In the last version of the mod if you were in Aluetia you would find a wreck on the second trade lane route when if shot it dropped guns and if the ship was destroyed it would give a class 2 military shield, but with the update it seems you can no longer destroy the ship which means no extra shield, is this intentional.
I also noticed that a lot of the stats for the SHF ships are not correct e.g the cargo size amount of guns and class of mounted guns.
Oh nearly forgot in Swansea at the abandond station where you can buy the nomad ships you cant actually get anything other than the fighter out of the station door, can you fix this please.

I have seen nothing of a server list in all of the forums nor on the pathfinder site.

Would it be too much trouble to ask you to post the servers running this mod so those of us who would like to play it can find a server running it? err...

preferrably on the web site in a prominent location.

Erm, the servers can be found by selecting the filter button, and then ticking the check box with "hide servers with incompatible builds".

This will mean you can only find 1.28 servers
