FL Rebalance 3.40 Comments, Bug reports and suggestions

It depends upon sigs, mainly on how much you use them. Forum rules stipulate that with Pics only once per thread is allowable. Of course, more than that and you will only be looking at pictures. However, their IS leniancy of size to some degree. Duriel has a larger sig than mine, as does spawn - so i am not special really. In fact, there are many who have MUCH larger, with some being about three times the size. Its all down to how its done really i suppose - same with text sigs. Some have about 8 lines with spaces between them filled with misaligned "junk" - which gets on poeples nerves. Then they might be asked to change it, although all the forum members usually complain to the offender enough that they change it
OH - additional. I don't bear any grudge against TNG, and certainly not fans/players (no offense, but i have no idea why i would hate that many poeple!!). I don't hate any of you guys, its simply that you and the rest of Starfyre have fairly strong methods of posting!! I don't like the way that some poeple are responded too, and the whole part about Credits back in September had NOTHING to do with you personally, and EVERYTHING to do with what we disagreed upon - which was what you could call your own or not. Remember - i only disagreed about a few points, and very fine ones at that. The only problem is that being passionate about our subjects - and the fact that i was then labelled as the person who made death threats to you......which I obviously didn't. When that argument settled, my grief with you guys settled as well.
Oh - about sigs again. It also depends upon file type and image size too. No BMP extensions

MD GREAT MOD....best yet still looking around it....hope this is not the last we will see of fl rebalance.love the zoner worlds and system + the bases in omicron gamma and alpha.. have been reading some of the things said in this thread and would dearly hope that this matter is resolved and that we can get back to what this thread and other threads are about..ie great mods +there makers ++++ MAD NUT ME WHO JUST LOVE PLAYING THEM.

Yep, nevermind my discussion with Reynen, or the dispute between Reynen and Chips. Chips was right to ask Reynen not to post this way here.
I would say though that Reynen made a mistake to post here, and the whole matter between us could have been resolved by mail, without implying so many people into this.
I never posted on his forums and never insulted anyone in his team so it seems only fair that he would have done the same.
Im glad the matter is solved but not the way it was solved...here on the forums I mean. Perhaps Chips or any other moderators should erase the whole thing.
Next time lets take it to your own forums Reynen, and i'll have my fans post there and insult you and all other SS members or fans, how about that?

Oh and btw Chips is supposed to be neutral only when the chat is neutral, but when someone or a group of persons is attacked the way I and the Rebalance fans were attacked i'm pretty positive he is SUPPOSED to take action against the agressor.

Pirate - 1950 (BS Essex, Dublin)
BH - 1000 (every- /anywhere)
Navy - 800 ( " )
Police - 600 ( " )
Civilian - 500 ( " )

My apollogies to MD and fellow posters. I seemed to have forgotten my own rule of just ignoring Reynen's postings. (got a sticky note and pasted it on my computer desk as a reminder).
Anyway MD I found by experimentation that using Medium settings instead of High settings resulted in no CTD's on my system.
Anyway can we get rid of the old enterprise? To me it looks too tacky.

Plus the Ballister ship is unplayable for it takes forever to dock on a planet and after 8 minutes I run out of nanobots for hull and shield repair and I get killed. <--- good thing I had savegames.

Hello, rello. Good to see a new face; it's great for the FL community to grow some more.
This mod is (as you might hace guessed) one of the very best, in some people's opinion. It takes many ideas, features, ships, weapons, and other things (i.e. TIEs, X-wings, and Rebebl Blasters from Star Wars) from various different sources and combines them with other new and cool features.
The list of all that's added/changed is far too long to sit and read through (much less type!), but here are some brief and basic ones:
- New ships (close to 100), weapons, star systems, bases, factions, and equipment (like shield powercells [speed up shield regeneration rate, and your ship's powerplant & engines [buy very good powerplant= not so much drained weapon energy)
- Original FL ships have improved stats (increased weapon mounts, more cargo, higher tech levels)
- Battleships encounters, where patrols of capitalships, destroyers, and gunboats escorted by fighter wings pop up to maybe raise a little ruckus
- New Random Mission types and payments (a $440 thousand mission is kinda run-of-the-mill in the Omicron systems)
- Greatly stepped-up AI: they use Nanobots/Shield Batteries, and their weapon loadouts have been seriously overhauled; a nice challenge, and even better loot
- New Jumpholes link close systems (like Tau-37 and Chugoku) to permit much easier and faster travel across the Sirius sector
- More updates and additions to come (I think) from the designers
That's a little summary; the reason there wasn't too much detail about it is b/c it's an established mod that's been continually improved and enhanced for a long time now, and there have been so many changes that it would not be easy to list all of them.
Try it out to find more things that I might have forgotten-- believe me, you won't regret it!!

checked back at the firebase-ship pack and there are only half of the ships included in rebalance. so says datastorm and also the FL/data/ships/firebase... folder which also contains just three of the six ships...
so, MD, sorry for bugging you with this, but could you implement the other three ships as well?? thx

dekkard, there's already a lot of ships in Rebalance and i added the best looking ships in FB's ship pack. I'll perhaps implement those ships but now i'm working with Augur on a much larger WC1-4 and WCP ship pack and got my hands full. I'm also working at the NU project and it's quite close to its deadline so there no more time for anything else.
For unknown reason Datastorm won't work with FLrebal on my cpu. No big deal. The mod is great, although there are some minor display problems a a couple bases. Too bad it won't work with OpenSP. I hate having to start over. Once you get to Lev38 it's kind of a drag to go all the way back to Lev1. New systems are great and the ships you've included are very, very good. My personal favorite is the Sith Infiltrator. It cuts through enemies like a warm knife through butter!

MD I run the ore/usa server and cant seem 2 get the bat file changes to stick I go through each 1 as I am prompted it says that files r copied the hit any key and it tales u 2 the next screen and so on until ti takes u back to the screen were u start at (were all the files rafter u open your mod) I am opening the mod through FLMM using the tools am I doing something wrong???? the version I have was releASED ON 3/19/2004 got it from lancers its not the beta or cybers verson
