Why does everyone love the Damocles so much?

What makes it better than the Balistner(besides mines, countermeasures, and higher armor points)? My friend uses the damcles but he outfitted the ship with balistner tech... He likes using the siege cannons... Heya how big is the blast radius of that thing? Plus the data on the weapon says that its range is 0. what's up with that? And is there a much better scanner than the Deep Scanner MKII?
My friend says that he can receive signals from up to 20km away...

Plus, are there higher versions for the fighter shield augmentations other than MKV?

I like the game so much... the feel of it makes me see myself in the outlaw star, star wars, and Cowboy Bebop universe.

how about anime-inspired ships? The ship designs in bebop and outlaw star are great... especially the outlaw star!!!! I would really love to pilot that thing! The Swordfish is cool, too..

Can the ship's voice be like that of ADA in the Zone Of Enders? that would be so cute!!!

I think that the ragnanok is from fianl fantasy, im sure i remeber reading it somewhere here on TLR,alos the raven claw, as far as i know will be in the final version

yeah it will be from what i hear. its just in 3.4 i coudlnt find the base it was on, also the DS said wrong from were it was located.

No one has answered my question yet, why does everyone like the damocles so much when the Balistner is a floating weapons platform?

I mean i blasted the hell out of the damocles when i saw it, the only real threat that i face now is a battalion of titans equipped with the salamancas...
They can really give you trouble.. They brought down my shields in less than 20 seconds!!! Having 10k shield bats really gives a guy security though. it only takes less than 200 pieces to bring my shields back up... But i wish there would be much heavier shields next time. 50k just doesn't cut it. Having two of them doesn't cut it either.

Just to let you know, I've been testing the Pre-release Final, and I gotta tell you it's mind-blowing.

The Osiris II is available, and it's a nice ship, though I'm thinking of having Ro9ue tone down its maneuverability issues. It is definitely THE toughest battleship out there now though, custom shields, heavy armor... You'll see

Anyway, regarding the Damocles, I personally like it becaise it's not as flat-out UGLY as the Balistner, and with the right loadout I can take out anything else, including a heavily loaded Balistner. But that's just my own thing.

There are some new goodies for Rebal 3.5 Final... Enhanced Order Shield Powercells among them. Also there are new Order weapons that Ro9ue did a really nice job on. The Wrath starts out with a pretty nice loadout, but you can only get it in one place... Battleship Osiris. So for those who are having trouble finding the thing, keep looking Also, The Wrath (actually ShadowWrath, in game), starts out with its own custom powerplant. Suggestion, don't sell it and think of upgrading to the Upgrade Powerplant MK V, you'll wish you hadn't. Also, none of the "Uber" powerplants, like the Balistner powerplant, are usable on fighter class ships. So consider yourself warned, things are going to be a lot more energy tight in this version. I think it's a good thing, lots more challenge if you have to watch your energy levels.

I'll tell ya though, with the right mix of components and the right ship, you can still put out a lot of nastiness to the enemy, so don't fret if your ship isn't able to fire a continuous stream of Star-trek death for an hour at a time

There's so much more in this version that I've barely scratched the surface, so bear with us, and we'll get it out there soon

also i really want to find the osiris in the 3.5 beta version and ive looked all over for it. toku system or however its spelled correct? oh and i dont mean to get off the topic here.
