One other thing:

I did a tiny bit of PvP. The nomad torps do nothing vs other players. Not sure if u're able to fix this or not. Is there a list of known bugs somewhere?

I've found some bugs regarding the Tiidan Scout:

One, if I ever die while flying it, BOOM! the server crashes. LAN guests not amused.

Two, on the "select character" screen, my character with the Tiidan Scout doesn't show up as having a ship. The "current ship" field is blank.

Three, sometimes, on other computers, the Scout just vanishes, except for the guns. I'm now known as the "guns of doom." I've seen this bug on 2 seperate computers with radically different configurations, so I'm sure it's not their systems.

Four, occassionally, if I shoot down a Tiidan scout, the server crashes. I believe someone else was posting about some sort of "Todan" Molly ship doing this to him? I think it was the Tiidan ships, not the Toscans, but I could be wrong.

It's really too bad, too... I love Homeworld. Are there any other Homeworld ships in the game? I'd love to fly a Kushan interceptor.

Aside from that, I'm having great fun with the mod. If we can stop the crashes, it'll be a regular hit on the LAN. Guess that means no EA system...

PS You should really keep the battleship group patrols in the "lite" version! But you might want to put the Rheinland ships in less obtrusive locations; I don't think Liberty would let a Rheinland fleet park over Planet Manhattan without opening fire.

Yeah, i actually like ur mod the way it is. The ship variety is nice.

Anyway. If you do axe buyable ships, I suggest u axe the babylon 5 cruisers from purchase. The white star suffers the same problems that I mentioned before about the Vorlon. Moving on to a blockade runner.

The person mentioning about the Molly ship explosion to crash, was me. Was about to mentioned about their other ship. But looks like someone beat me to it. For the Lite version, will it be possible to download the other ship packs and add them to it? Just like those older versions of Rebalance?

MD, sorry cannot confirm which battleship would crash the game when undocking from the EAF planets. Maybe it could be a Battleshio blasting Mollies into oblivion?

I cannot confirm what crashes the game in EAF, because it is still stuck in Cutscene, and before it can finish loading, the game crashes. T_T

Nightblade, thanx for the bug report. It looks like noth the Toscans and Taiidan Scouts flyed by Molly's are causing crashes. Dunno why yet. Maybe it is becuase of the new Molly tachyon guns, they were not included in lootprops.ini and that might cause a crash at drop time. RH BS's in Mahattan are wierd enough indeed maybe i'll limit them to Bretonia and Kusari in SP campaign.
Gameshark, no problem about identifying that ship, i'll figure it out in the end.the Lite version will not support other ship packs but will have some limited(and very expensive) original models from the rebalance full version. they'll be in some hidden bases, about 1 per house space, and 2 in the outter worlds.(Sabe XR included!).

MD, been awhile, but I'm back in the game. I've been playing off and on for the last couple weeks, having reinstalled your mod. Nothing major to report, since I had to start from scratch after removing TNG. Two things I've noted, however: info cards for some ships are inaccurate (something I'm sure you already know,) and one of my server players has been crashing the server pretty regularly.

On the info cards, the one that I know of for sure is the Clydsedale. The infocard says it has about twice as much cargo as what it actually has. That was a nasty surprise when I threw all my savings into it's purchase on the basis of it's cargo capacity. Also, the new Lambda Shuttle only lists as having 5 cargo units. I can't imagine that being the case.

As for the crashes, I have no clue why it's been happening. The guy that's been doing it hasn't reported anything out of the ordinary, or any certain action he was doing prior to the crash. He was the only one online anytime it crashed. This weekend was pretty frustrating. I would walk into the computer room and find the server had crashed. I'd restart the server, and five minutes later it had crashed again. I probably got about a dozen phone calls from the guy asking me to restart the server. = /

Given that I can't give you any detailed information on the "why," this is just to let you know that it's happening. If you've been getting a lot of such reports, I figure this will at least give you some warning that there's a problem. If not, I'll just tell the guy that it's time for him to do a reinstall.

Hacked, trainer, docking bug, EAF System Bug, Molly Ships bug .. many many bugs. So play safe with caution. This mod is worth to play, just have to be cautious.

Hi,

Is there anyway to (temporarily) get rid of the SW ships that are near impossible to kill with guns (Slave1, Falcon, and others I guess)? I like the ships but they are a real pain in the ..... especially if you have a rep issue with the bounty hunters! I don't carry missiles so can't take them down at all. Can they be fixed in the long run?

Yes, play older versions. Because during the older versions, only the PLAYERS, like you, can use the new ships. Now, NPCs use the ships. So if you remove the ships, it would take time. You can always wait for the LITE version of Rebalance that MD is making.

It does not include the new ships. So you or the NPCs cannot use it.

Come on, you can frag those BHunters, you only need to know what weapons are strong against their sheilds. I can kill a Slave01, Millenium Falcon with an A-Wing.

probably a bug in FLrebalance 2.01 - after searching in the forums i think nobody else did mention it yet:
I cannot dock with Leipzig Station. The 'docking point' is outside the station. So if I press F3 to dock, my ship begins to turn around the docking point again and again. I'm flying the Correlian Corvette. Any suggestions ?

btw: my honours ans respect to MD and other modders. Impressive and incredible work !! thxs

Ether Dragon, good to have u back. I'm still working on the Lite version, gotta test it all troughout the SP campaign in order to be sure it has no bugs, that's why is taking so long. What I can say now its that will still have a number of non-FL ships, but hidden in the most remote locations(except one, the SoulStealer, but that can be "adopted" in FL i think, as a pirate fighter), and very expensive, cause I wanna set those a goals fo the MP players.NPC's will fly default ships. Missiles will no longer take cargo space and the torps will take a reduced size(0.25 for starkiller, 0.5 for Hellfury and so on). Besides that i got my daily work to take care and only nights to test/develop Rebalance further...
The problem with the new ships flown by NPC's like Bounty hunters and red Hessians are the .sur files that a re not created for that ship speciffically. So the computer can't auto aim too well and very often misses. Try using the Kusari Hyperpulse or BD Dragon's Breath as they got area explosion damage.
GS - BD Dragon's Breath can only be purchased at Kyoto Base, costs 175k and does 233 damage at 10.88 rate of fire/sec...and it's a class 9 gun.

MD, is there anyway you could incorporate Baked Potato's new custom ships into your mod? They seem a little too well armed/armored for their maneuverability, but they look pretty interesting. It's nice to see an original ship design for the game rather than something recycled from another source.

ED: the X-fighter is already in, and the Y-fighter will be added soon. they-ll have their weapon class donscaled to 7 and armor to 2000-3000 max.

I think I found a bug for you, btw. Don't know if anyone else has forwarded it. I went and bought a Bretonia Gunboat yesterday afternoon. After purchase, I quit the game. Another server player called me up a little while later to tell me my server was down. When I checked, I found the server was still running, but opted to reset it anyways. When I entered the game a little bit later, I was back in my former ship, being shot at by Mollies near the Battleship where I had purchased the Gunboat. "WTF?" thinks I.

I redock and purchase the Gunboat again. The next problem I run into is trying to arm the thing. I move the weapons around a little bit, trying to get it to look more like the default gunboats (a primary cannon on each wing tip, turret on top.) To my utter shock and horror, I find that I can only mount a gunboat weapon on one wing - looks really dumb, MD. I gripe, I moan, I say "f___ it," and decide to buy a Corellian Corvette at Leeds. I launch. The server crashes. When I get it back up and running, and re-enter the game, I'm sitting in my old ship outside the battleship again. Hmm. Time to go to Leeds...
