I just tried my 1st ship mod to Freelancer, and followed all the info I could find here. I'm using the milkshape exporter and following the instructions included with it. The game will start with the mod activated, but the ship isn't available for purchase. I have edit the goods.ini and the market_ships.ini to make it available on Pittsburg.

Just so you know, I have been able to modify ships already in the game. but I still cannot add a new one.

I think my trouble is in the shiparch.ini, with the collision and simple definitions. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
I wondered is the source code for the exporter available, as i think i've figured out a way of making the positioning and orientation of hardpoints easier.

For the moment i have a manual process to do it (it should be posted on the download area shortly), but i think i can devise a milkshop model to merge and manipulate in milkshape that with a change in the code, would be even easier still.

Thanks
ZENO
