i installed but in the version thingy in the corner of the main menu still registers v1.0

Post Tue Apr 26, 2005 3:04 pm

Okay, good. It will still say 1.0 even though you've installed the 1.1 patch. I think it actually is suppose to be 1.01 patch but people mispelled it. Anyway, I can't think of anything else right now. You've forwarded the ports you were suppose to. You have no mods running at all. The only thing I can think of is maybe your software firewall that comes with your antivirus. What antivirus program are you using?

norton anti virus

CRAP!!! Norton of all things. Don't get me wrong, Norton is a good program, but a royal pain in the butt when it comes to ports or firewalls. Okay, check your settings and tell me the level that your firewall is set at.

do you think it has anything to do with script blocking?

Post Tue Apr 26, 2005 3:10 pm

Oh and this is the only game that has troubles in online multiplayer

Post Tue Apr 26, 2005 3:10 pm

Sorry to hear that man. Try disabling script blocking and see if it works.

Let me know if the problem continues.

What is the chipset of your mother board and is it an onboard NIC (internet card)
if it is an Nforce try to open the system properties ( right click on MY Computer choose properties) click on advanced at the top then choose Settings at the Performance Tab ,, from there choose Data Execution Prevention And add Freelancer to the exeptions list try it out see if it helps
