yeah had that on DA's mailed in the report as well. Hoped that the Da guy that was in while I was saw my comments in game, but guess not as no reply as yet.

Thanks for the feedback! As a follow-up, the random crashing isn't so random. It happens when you join with someone in a group. As your group member takes off in a direction, you form up with them. They stay the same speed but you "catch up" to them by going faster than is "possible." We've heard two people so far say this will blow them up for now apparent reason. The patch believes you are going too fast, and will blow you up as a result. OUCH!

Please log on to the Elite server, find someone to test this out and report all finding to the address in the server news. This is not required but it will go a long way in helping us fix what might be wrong. If you find any other "issues" try to duplicate the event, then report your findings to the address in the server news. Be clear what you were doing, where you were when you were doing it, what steps you did to duplicate the anomoly. We can't thank you enough for helping us out!! This will only help the greater good of the servers out there with your time and effort.

Well we couldn't reproduce the formation explosion bug thingy just now.. But it did happen once.. It will happen again..

Now it could of been a little lag to.. Since when you lag out for a sec. you ALSO have to break speed barriers to catch up to the time line.

Also.. I blew up in jump gates 30% of the time.. 1 out of every 3 jumps I did on the Elite server just now, I blew up on the other side.

This does not occour in the DA patch server so i could be a server / patch compability problem? just a tough

It happened to me on the DA Patch server this morning. I blew up when I popped out of the New York - California Jump Gate.
I had taken many jumpgates in this game, maybe 30, and 12 of those must of been that jump gate, before it happened. I then continued to play for a couple of runs and it didnt happen again.

Someone else on the server told me this happened to him also when he popped out of a jump gate, different one than mine, I think he said Texas.

To my knowledge, the issues you are noticing on Elite are related to a few new fixes just recently included in the patch.

The new patch build, I believe, was also just recently placed on the DA Patch server. I am curious to see if this issue is as prevalent on the DA Server as it appears to be on Elite.

We have notified the appropriate people about the issues that have been brought up.

The blowups are random, can happen at a jumpgate, can happen on space, and happen a lot when you minimize the game to check another thing on the desktop

This alt-tabbing thing is very bad, I'm often playing and chatting in IRC at the same time - I seriously hope that this was not intentional.

Yup.. the exploding does happen if i minimise FL to check on MSN or IRC. I fact so far i have exploded during:

Exiting Dock,
Trade Lane Transit
JumpGate Exit

Bear in mind, i'm based in the Uk and used to be a regular on the server.. pings of 300 are common when connecting from across the pond. It's the fact that i lost a lot of spare weapons, shields and cargohold full of cardamine that bugs me, when all i did was exit the jumpgate! grrrr....

Yes darkGUNMAN, more than likely you're going to have that and there's not much that can be done about it right now since we're still asking for people to test out the patch. Patience, this is just outstanding information we're gathering and you are helping, even if it is at a small personal price like you described. Please keep testing and reporting everyone...I'd give you all a high 5 and a cookie for your hard work if I could.

In a sense, this is very much like beta testing was. Digital Anvil folks are VERY much concerned with their customers base (us) and want to provide the best product they can by keeping the lines of communications alive and well. I can't speak for DA, but I'll just bet my bottom dollar they appreciate every single bit of feedback they receive from us.

Is the ELite server only opened to certain ppl, or it because they are testing the new patch?

This is really weird but i played the whole afternoon and night and didnt got any explosion, yesterday i exploded a lot and i was sharing my netline with my dad in the home network here and today i had the entire line just to me, so i tried turning on kazaa to completely mess up my line but i didnt exploded... weird


I kept seeing ppl exploding and complaining so this is very random and im lucky today

As a bit of new information for all of us (nice touch Digitial Avil and even nicer surprise). You can go higher than level 38!! We've got several above that former 38 barrier now. I think that is a great new feature! No idea what the upper limit will be but 99 seems logical. One person is about halfway there now.
