ELITE server going down for DAYS? wtf??

I tried to log in onto the Elite Server using the password listed somewhere here, but it keeps saying it's the wrong one. I'm sure I did write it right so what am I doing wrong

Lizzi,

Try looking on the second post on the first page of this very thread for the link to the password. It is listed at the bottom, all by itself, and has to be type in EXACTLY like you see it.

I used the password thats listed there, but it won't work. Well, maybe I got a problem with my eyes. I'll try it again, thx anyway

Insert zeros in place of the letter "O" and it will work

I do understand the cue still I can't log in. But I've come to the conclusion if I'm to stupid to type in the password, I'm not worth playing the game anyway

EDIT: It doesn't work even if I replace the "o" with 0.

um...yeah it does. Make sure you are typing w/case sensitive and with punctuation. I've done it myself. It does work.

That's not a cheat Hand Solo, it's strange but it's not a cheat. That's the Ripper mine, and on the stats window it says it only does about 3500 hull damage, but it does enough to kill an Eagle with no shields in one hit. I've done it to people with that mine and other people have done it to me, no cheat.

Lizzi: did you put in the exclamation points? I was having some difficulties myself the first couple times I tried logging in. But then I realized I had forgotten to put in the emphasis to the word. Remember, Elite really REALLY wants there to be no cheats or modders (gosh darnit!!) in their server. Hope that helps...but knowing how most of my advice goes it probably won't (well, I'll still be holding out hope for it to change). Cheers.

Well, I finally got in by using the zero in the NumBlock, for some strange reason it only works with this one.Thx to all.

uh...um...no. The Eagle has 9900 armor. 3500 Hull damage would most certainly NOT be enough, even with no shields. Sorry....I gotta call Bull**** on this one.

If it's true then it means it does not do 3500 damage, OR it means that the Eagle does not have 9900 armor.

Assuming the Eagle has 9900 armor, and assuming the mine does 3500 damage, no it is not possible for a single mine to kill an unshielded Eagle. Simple math.

So either the stats are wrong or whoever is claiming this is lying.
