How to get a VHF being a good guy: please help!

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

I would like to thank for all your opinions. I'll try to get a Titan. Freeport 1(or is it 6 ? Don't remember) has a zoner offering a bribe to make peace with the corsairs.

Second option: Eagle, freeport 9.

Thanks again.

you should be able to go toe-to-toe with anything you run into on your way to the eagle in a falcon. pick your fights, and use those early-days skills of running like heck.

Absoutely make sure you have a level 8 shield on your falcon. You're only making things difficult on yourself if you don't. I also hope you have an Adv. Thruster, and Adv. CM Dropper.. Advanced Thruster is a nessesity in the border worlds, where the trade lanes don't exist. With the Adv CM, if you're alert, you can consistently dodge C.Disruptors. The key is to hit that CM key as soon as you get the warning, and "strafe", preferably in the opposite direction of your would-be attackers. Depending on how many there are, and how close you cruised by, they may fire 2-3 C.D's, or more. If they do manage to get one on you (adv. CM is only 90% effective), duck, dodge, dive, do the hokey pokey, whatever it takes, all the while keeping your cruise engines charging. If they're offline, and you get the count-down to online, they'll automatically start charging again once the count-down has ended.. just make sure you restart the engines every time you get hit.

I've had several experiences like this that I survived, including one outside of Montezuma where those dirtbags tried to steal MY cargo, on my brand new Dromedary, filled with all the cardamine I could afford.. after about 10 minutes of avoiding blasters and getting nailed by CD's from about 14 angry Rogues, I suppose they ran out of CD's, as I was in the middle of the swarm when my engines powered, and scooted my hide beyond their greedy reach

If you still can't make it in the Falcon, you haven't yet earned the right to fly a C10 ship
