Movie o'neill was Kurt Russell. RDA is really better than him. Michael Shanks(Dr Jackson on tv series) is too better than James Spader(Jackson on movie)

What ever happened to Daniel's wife? She was kidnapped by Gulds and just sort of dissapeared. Did he ever find her/ what's left of her? --- VH16

well if you dont have parasitic aliens, what else is there?

Just off the top of my head, on my first play-through, I noticed:

Trade-lanes are strongly reminiscent of Cowboy Bebop's hyperspace lanes.
The Nomads themselves (when they manifest in a host, and/or take a new one) look a fair bit like Stargate's Goa'uld.
Orillion might as well have a "NOT MORPHEUS. REALLY." sign around his neck.

And while it's not actually in the game, I really wanted Trent to pause on the landing pad on his first visit to the Texas system and observe, unimpressed, "So this is planet Houston."

Just a few examples of how Freelancer is a fun, but very silly and rather derivative game - just like its predecessor's refighting of the Cold War in space. (It's my theory that Chris Roberts wants to be George Lucas, in the worst way. And judging from the Wing Commander movie, he got his wish.)

I wonder... I'm on the cutscene where Tekagi's eyes glow blue, and i wonder... How did he manage to hide those?

I beleive when nomads w/ a host wish to perform a nomadi-sh activity (deprating from their form, attempting to infest, physcic abilities) they reveal themselves. Also, "The Order" is an excessivley popular faction designation that appears in a variety of Fantasy and Sci-Fi plots, novels, etc.

Well, what should the call them, the unorderly, or maybe the bunch of geeks in spaceships.

But, yes, "the order" is used way to much.

Anybody looking for parasitic alien refernces should go no further than the source: Robert A. Heinlein. Puppenmasters, anyone?

oh yes, i remember those, the manta-ray-like thngs with the neelde spitters that latch onto the back? annoying things they were.

I agree about the nomad/goa'uld thing though, they are vary similar, from the glowing eyes to the echoing voice, but the goa'uld dont have the little energy fields on the hands (Look closely in the tekagi scene as he goes nomad, you see little energy fields around his hands and head).

And i also have to admit, when he did that, the first thing i thought was:
'Holy CRAP! GOA'ULD!'
