Never realy gave it any thought actually, but I kinda like FP10, so my choice would be:

b c b b c

You were gone?

Edit: Damn spelling.

mine would be

a Freeport 10 style base in an asteroid filed in the middle of nowhere with no population (except for a nice looking young lady ), and maximum defense. It'd be 100k ABOVE Manhattan, so nobody knows where it is, and you can't just get there by setting waypoints! cool!

Tekagi's Arch, a short distance above Malta, with maximum security, an average population, open to all. Great architecture and cardamine on the doorstep

The best base would be one in a dyson sphere with a lot of nomads flying around it

It'd be sweet. A nice Junker base the size - if not larger than - Freeport 10 or 9. Nestled out somewhere in the Border Worlds, hopefully in the top right corner of
Tau-37, with only the occasional resupply. It's sole purpose would be experimenting with anything and everything to help their allies.

E - Makes for easier turret placements and defence.
F - Inside a sensor reducing blue gas cloud with lots of rocks
f - 10 turrets, 10 weapon platforms, mines in the surrounding cloud
A - Lots and lots of patrols
A - Some of the best ships.

1. Tekagi's Arch
2. In an asteroid field, inside a nebula ()
3. High Security with mines around it. (nebula also has explosive gas and radiation damage )
4. High population, (non agression treaty in effect so it's a safe haven for everyone, has own fighters to break up 'mistakes')
5. Open for all

enjoy!

Is it me, or does everyone hate Rhineland? I mean, give them a chance! They only hunt you for about 99.9[% of the Single Player! Thats good....right? I mean, they could hunt you for ALL the Single Player.....right?.....hello?

Me:
1. E. Dyson Sphere (Nomad Base in SP)
2. E. In centre of the system, with jumpholes leading to other Nomad systems.
3. E. Covered with Nomad turrets and armed with Dom Kavash superlaser (very slow, but if it hits...
4. D. Except for a few strange glowing Dom Kavash ships and a few nomads...
5. E. Dom Kavash and Nomads.

Hmm... a large, heavily-armed 'battlestation' newly built in one of the Unknown systems would be fun. I'll say a Bounty Hunter base because I'm biased :p -- and I think they need a base close to the enemy, but hidden from them. Many Bounty Hunter patrols too -- see how well the AI Bounty Hunters do at engaging the Nomads. Obviously, it'd have to have biodomes because it's not likely to get much in the way of freight, so it'd be growing its own food. I'd put it in the empty Unknown system, just so there's something... there.

I would say a Liberty battleship hijacked by Outcasts then completely rearmed with Outcast turrets and defended by heavily armed Outcast Sabres. Then place it right next to Bounty Hunter Jackson's base

Dark Helmet: Gimme that, you petty excuse of an officer!
Now hear this: LUDICROUS SPEED!!!
Col. Sanders: Sir, hadn't you better buckle up?
Dark Helmet: Eh, buckle this! Ludicrous speed...GO!!!

LMAO, cheat!
