Corsair Fighters

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Heheh, yeah I did see that one.
And I only said that Lavablades might give it a shot, lol -- I was thinking more about the hull damage than anything else, because it'd have to have at least one shield buster to even scrape the shields, and then it'd be so limited on heavier firepower that at least one brute force weapon would be required.
I've never even considered approaching a Titan with a Starflier, human or AI, lol. Besides the statistical impossibilities, I've usually traded it in for a Piranha, Barracuda or something like a Hawk long before I even see a Titan. I just hate the damned thing so much :p

I got bored of the higher end of the ship spectrum. It made too many systems utterly...not challenging to hunt in. 1 hit kills, no matter how easy the money is, aren't all that exciting, and only fighting in the border worlds all the time would get a little dull after a while, so I went the lighter route, and now things are a bit more interesting. Two loadouts are useful, one for killing shielded enemies, and the other for Nomads. The latter crams just about every bit of armor killing firepower and rapid refire goodness that can be crammed into a class 3 LF(preferrably without risking an irreplaceable Ripper mine launcher, instead using the next best thing). I die just about every other time I try it, but it's some quality entertainment when it comes off clean with a few Nomad guns to drag home and sell.

BTW, it IS possible to get through the heavily irradiated systems (even 11 and 41 in the most deadly sections, if you keep the visit short) in a Starflier or Patriot, it just takes good timing with the nanobots, and knowledge of how fast you can reach the nearest safe port. Fighting in those areas isn't the brightest of notions.

I should say so, lol
Any man who can lay claim to having accomplished such a feat has my most profound respect, genuinely, lol. I just don't have the guts to try such a thing

Dunking in and out of the high radiation areas to grab wreck loot is bad enough. That's risky business even for a midlevel ship. The first time around, it took two or three trips back and forth to Solarius station in Omega-11 just to locate the wrecks in the Von Rhoe belt, and another two to get the loot I was after(a pair of codename guns, sold for ~60k credits, followed by some diamonds). I suppose it would have been a big help if I had done it using a savegame from my previous campaign, which was all mapped out already, but it was more of a proof that it could be done at all.
