Highly Persishable Goods

Hey, how are you supposed to mine Alien Artifacts or buy anything highly perishable and expect to get it to its destination without it rotting big time?
I bought a full load of Lux. Foods once and didn't even make it through the next jump gate when it died.
Whadda ya gotta do?

I'm pretty sure it's the other way around RILMS.

I mined Artifacts, I just don't wanna say where.

Umm...alien artifacts aren't perishable, organisms are...
A hint, try a freighter.

Feel free to edit or delete this if this is too much of a spoiler.

ditch perishable things, get something good and stable, like metals from mining stations and taking them to smelters (Dortmond in Berlin usually pays well). --- RR16

I've found both aritfacts and alien organisms in a few systems -- but always by accident. Hit space debris in combat while firing at a bad guy, and found that artifacts or alien organisms had been released.

As far as perishable goods, I won't bother unless I salvage them close to someplace to sell them. No fun watching your cargo expire on you.

@ nick i know what he said but he still is incorrect
but here isnt the place to spill the beans

Who hasn't looked at the trade commodity lists on this site? We're not giving spoiler, just summing up the info he probably missed. Antoher reason I hate perishable goods: when I'm pirating and I tractor in something perishable, as it expires it opens up room in my hold for 1 or 2 more items. It causes me to end up with 4 or 5 units of several commodities, and instead of one huge payoff at a nearby base I end up with just enough mula to cover my costs. --- RR16

Whoever came up with "Mission Commision" should be lined up and shot

@ rhineland the trade commodity list if posted HERE WOULD BE A SPOILER
as would be listing the properties of a cargo and the distances etc involved to make a decent profit on said cargo
and you can make very good money trading perishable goods

Don't you select the cargo you want? With all sorts floating around, you go for the most valuable in that area! Dump what doesn't sell and suck in the goodies.

Yup shift+b if I remember correctly.
I do that all the time. Unless I'm in a hurry.

yeah, my mistake. I meant to say alien organisms, not artifacts. And I have mined those too.
