Eagle, Sabre
If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

The saber is good if your just fighting the AI but you have to be a nearly perfect pilot to beat a decent player in a eagle
The eagle can out turn the saber and the saber doesnt have that much more armor or firepower
I live in my ship cause everyone hates me........
Its official my password is now assword

Yup(??wild??), once a VHF's shields are down, the difference in Armour is of little consequence. A good Eagle pilot can bring a Sabre's shields down 3-4 times before the Sabre even gets a shot. Eventually the Sabre pilot runs out of bats and the Eagle pilot likely hasn't even needed to use them.

I'm an even firmer supporter of the Eagle after the last PvP dogfight against this guy in his Sabre. I literally flew rings around him AND land salvos after salvos on him at the same time. He simply couldn't turn fast enough to touch me.

You know, I probably should have actually flown an Eagle before I posted. I've flown a Sabre and Titan and the Sabre was better than the Titan so I figured it was better than the Eagle. Now I got an Eagle and realize I was wrong lol. The Eagle is much better. They can carry the same amount of bat/nanos and the difference of armor (900 I think) is only 1 salvo from most decent guns. All in all, the Eagle kicks a$$!
Which is just what is ludicrous about this thread. Eagle or Sabre? You only have to go on the servers and play to see the answer to that one. They don't all have Eagles because they couldn't afford the extra 20k for the Sabre
Honestly though, challenge yourself, and try some of the Class 9 ships that people typically pass up. The Hammerhead is as capable as the Eagle in many respects. The Centurion is a Titan that turns the same speed, but is more responsive ( better radial acceleration ).
Don't worry about having the "best ship", worry about becoming a good pilot. You'd be surprised what you can do with an outclassed ship.

Just out of scientific curiosity i did an experiment to find the turn and pitch rates.
What i did was get each ship, put it into a full turn and time how long it took to do 10 full rotations. (3600 degrees). Then i repeated it for pitch.
The lower the time taken the better the turn and pitch rate.
i used the sun as the point of refrence to time it.
You know what? both the sabre and titan got:
turn = 50sec :- Turn rate = 72 deg/sec
pitch = 59sec :- Pitch rate = 61 deg/sec
give or take a second for inherent recording innacuracy
The eagle was alot better with:
Turn = 38 sec :- Turn rate = 95 deg/sec
Pitch = 47 sec :- Pitch rate = 76 deg/sec
I allways thought the sabre felt a bit quicker than the titan, but numbers dont lie. (least not mine LOL)
