Eagle, Sabre

I know that there are billions of topics asking which ship is better... But i just want to know Why and How it does. Please leave your personal opinions on this thread. I now have a sabre and i find that it rocks (especially after having a loggy humpback for so long) But i want to know how more disadvataged or advantaged the eagle is compared to it. i would like to have people who have flown both ships to tell me please. (no insult)

Also, i'd like to know which guns would be best to put on with 4 nomad energy blasters/cannons. I dont mind if they are codenames or buyables, but i'd like to know a representative of both lvl 9 and lvl 10 weapons.

The Sabre has a turret that can fire in 360 degrees. But the Sabre is slower. The Eagle is much faster, and its turret only fires backwards. I prefer the Eagle because of the agility.

I flew in eagle, sabre and titan,

they can all have 2 class 9 and 4 class 10 guns, and a class 10 turret

eagle: best maneuvrable, less armor, turret can only fire backward
sabre: medium armor, medium maneuvrable, turret can fire for- and backward
titan: heavy armor, almost not maneuvrable, turret can only fire backward

costs,
eagle, 550k, freeport 9
sabre, 570k, planet malta and a red hessian base in dresden system
titan, 750k, planet crete and on an other corsair base

I am using the Eagle also, and I think it rocks to especially with class 10 weapons, it is all about what you prefer to purchase. If go in and modify the speed and handling for the eagle it turns faster and is easier to get back to your enemy.

I hae played all the normal ships, and the Sabre was probably my favorite normal ship. It looks cool and has the best turret position. It is very maneuverable compared to the Titan.

Now I only fly the Slave 1 or B-Wing fighters. All weapon hardpoints are class 10, they travel at 160 and 320 km/h , have 300 and 275 size cargo holds respectively. They both seem to have a 'secret ability' to travel at about 990 km/h when you press Z. Let's just say that I don't worry about being caught with contraband anymore, but crashing into a star really messes up the paint.

I use an eagle because of its maneuverability. And as for the B-wing and Slave-1, I think that pressing Z is supposed to represent activating the Hyperdrive. Go figure...

Been in all of them and I have to say that I like the Sabre the best.

It has more armor than the Eagle and is more maneuverable than the Titan. Add that to the forward-firing turret and you have a more powerful ship than either the Titan or the Eagle. Even though the Titan has more armor, I think the Sabre makes up for that with the more maneuverablility and the forward-firing turret.

I had a Sabre. Excellent against AI, not so excellent against a good Human in an Eagle. After a couple dogfights I went and traded it in for an Eagle.

Yes, I agree. Against AI the Sabre and Titan are great ships......but when fighting a human...........the Eagle is the way to go. I have two DiamondBacks, for the heavy firepower, two Skyblast B guns for the quick succision attack, a Skyblast B turret and two Firestalker Missle Batteries...........for me...they work great........

Oh yes, you forgot - you dont actually have the turret - you cant use it

I like the sabre, looks cool

Anoth point noone has mentioned is the fact that the Eagle is "Civilian" - stupid i know, but I had 2 mention it
