Wow, the uber-fighters really ARE uber!

Ah, you can buy a class 10 ship with armour so thick it makes the combined defense of the UN look like a wall of cheddar, and you can load it with level 10 guns that destroy all in a few shots.. and you want a turret as WELL?!?! 
I'm fine with just using that on attackers as I dock, personally. Gives me a touch of defense where I need it. Why make the game TOO easy?
And you don't think the Eagle looks good?! I think it looks great (like a bee!! I think it looks a little like a stooping bird of prey, no doubt intentional there). The sabre isn't UGLY as such, but very... individual. The Titan is horribly ugly though. Yucky. i think the BH ships are pretty grim too, I bought a Barracuda once and swapped it for the very slightly lesser Dragon cos it was HORRIBLE. Looked like a big flying bug.
I happen to think the Eagle looks amazing and like I said who cares about the armour? If you can FLY well enough you won't get hit as much! Er, and level 9+ shields etc help a bit. After a certain level of armour not much can hurt you anyway, the extra is just overkill.
I have had a good idea for an addon but I shall ponder it before voicing it...

Oh yes, before I forget... where the hell do you get Sunslayers in MP? Can't find em anywhere. Most irritating!
And as to flying like a brick, I think the Eagle is pretty good for its size and armour. Works for me, after one pass most ships are seriuosly limping or dead anyway and it's almost leisurely to pick them off!

When I said "Too bad there is no class 10 ship that looks good, flies better than a giant space brick and has a front-firing turret..." I did NOT say the Eagly flies like a brick, did I? I just wanted to say that there is no class 10 ship which combines all the strengths the class 10 ships have. Yes, the Eagle is veeery agile and all, but IMO it looks ugly and the Sabre looks worse. Yep, you like it and that's perfectly cool. Just a matter of personal taste, really

But hey, sunslayers, rippers, nomad stuff, level 9 turret, level 10 shield, that's so much overkill already, it would be fun to use it all with a turret that actually works in every direction, which is only possible on a Sabre
I think I'm the only person in the world who thinks the Eagle is ugly and the Sabre is extremely ugly, but to make matters worse, I love the looks of the Titan! I think there is no hope for me...
By the way - you can find the sunslayers in Frankfurt (Rheinland) in Bruchsal Base, which belongs to the Bundschuh guys so get ready to kill a few cops! It's pretty easy to hunt ships with Sunslayers and soooo much fun! Make sure you grab it!

My main gripe with the Eagle is the coloring. I know it's stupid, and the ships are really good, but that icky brown turns me off the whole line of fighters. I love how the Eagle looks like a bird of prey diving in for the kill, but I just wished maybe it had a more intimidating paint job. I guess though if you put bird feathers painted on it, it'd look like a dumb Romulan ship off of Star Trek and that wouldn't be good.

You're all wrong...the coolest looking ship in the game is the Hawk. Too bad it is only a mid-level fighter.
I have an Eagle, and I agree it is the best looking of the Class 10 ships, with the Sabre a close second. I dont think the extra fins add to it though....I think the Hawk looks much cooler.
I am curious to try out the other class 10 ships to see if they really are that slow. I know that I have zero problems outmanuvering NPC Titans...but I always assumed that was because they were NPCs (and thus, stupid).

You know what would be cool? Custom paintjobs for ships! You could upload them to the servers so that everyone would look different from each other. I don't like the color of most ships and it would be fun to place at least a few custom decals on them or something.
Most people are only using class 10 ships sooner or later anyway and it is so boring when everyone looks alike.

ppl would be going for the ship with the most flat surface.. put on their pride and glory... or of others.... :S, and hence, to get other players 'distracted' big time!!!! god its be cool...
