Hi Guys...
I'm still deciding on a completly dictatoric (sp?) way who is becomming moderators and editors (news/mod posters).
The numbers are dependent on the amount of work needed and the amount the current staff members can give. If the is to big a difference, and I often quickly see that, I try to find some candidates, and run them through the oppinion of the current staffers. If they concur, I ask the people nominated, and then they are contacted by me, and introduced into the work needed by the current staffers.
As it stands now, I think the current staff is doing an awesome job, and they have my biggest gratitude and admiration. And I don't feel we have a problem with not moderation enough or missing out news due to the lack of manpower.
But I know from experience and running this site for over 4 years, and running other Internet fansites as long as 9 years ago (!!!), that there is some continuing exchange of people on the roster (sp?).
Anyway... To become a staff member, you would have to participate in the community, and show your merits, like has been mentioned before. If the need arises, I would try to single out the people, I deem that best candidates. So it is no application work...
Hope that clarifies it a bit...
Best Regards
