watched some more demos and freelancer looks "sick"..well at least the cutscenes.. what i've seen so far of actual gameplay isn't all that ..erm good? just this one little ship doing stuff... this game definately looks fun- although not better than the game in my top spot for playing..

And the original X game had how many ships? One.

this is one thing I really cant stand, it looks 'sick' wow thats really descriptive and useful. Snowy, if you're just going to post stuff like this why not at least attempt to make it constructive or reasoned?

Having read a few posts here from the X community I'm dissappointed that Snowy is STILL causing dissent, yes, I am a regular on X2 BB, otherwise known as carran.

Please do what most of us have learnt from X2 BB and ignore him - if you're reading this Snowy - please shut up, you're causing more harm than good!

Well, I for one would like to hear what he doesn't like about it and what he does like.

Before i had certain expectations of this game that hasn't gone the way i thought they would, and started to dislike it. But then when i read up on why they didn't do things the way i would have preferred, i understood and my intrest has boosted once again. dont get me wrong i'm still disapointed, a bit, but am also looking forward to buying it.

I would like to hear what others think is wrong with it. but also whats right.

at least that is my oppinion.

Anyway as I said before,beyond the frontier just sucked since the demo was only a couple of minutes long & you didn't really have anytime to do any trading whatsoever & the game just wasn't even any fun even when you got to the end after doing all of that,you're still stuck in the same place.

However since X-tension is very rare,X2 is the only game as of now that could make me even touch the the series because of the newly released video,hopefully they'll have the game balanced this time around.

Agreed with Wing commander 4-5 & the freespace series,since I have never played the others.They all had a sense of urgency especially the freespace series had a sense of urgency in the voice actings coupled with the music & weapons.To this day I still approach a corvette{Terran or vasudan} or a sathanas with caution because of the flak & beam turrets.

I don;t think anyone would disagree that Beyond the Frontier left one either confused or wanting more, the ending wasn't clear. XTension is still available though so it shouldn't be hard to find - hope I'm not offending anyone here -it's not a plug honest guv!

I'm hoping that both FL and X2 provide diverse universes and unique experiences, it strikes me there's lots in common but lots that is distinctly different too. I hope there are sufficient open minded people on both forums to allow sensible discussion when they appear
