Hey Commander Gold, thanks for taking the time to come over and visit us. I tell you one thing that has come out of this is that it's finally gotten me off my butt and having a bit of a read up on X2. It looks pretty sweet.

I also bumped into a few of yours and other members posts on the egosoft forums regarding Tach's thread. Unfortunately it's human nature to harass the chicken when it lays a few bad eggs. I don't think Tachyon meant to label you all as trolls, it's unfortunate came across that way. From what I have read you all seem like a bunch of intelligent and generally good natured people and I hope that this unpleasentness can be put behind the two sides. It's unproductive for all concerned and serves no real purpose except to cause antagonism.

Stinger has re-iterated the point many times that if anyone feels a thread is un-fairly locked to contact Bargib and he will look into it. It's all pretty straightforward, all the Moderators are asking is that people follow the correct chain of command to resolve the issues.

Im actually starting to feel for the new members who have just joined up and walked into this hornets nest. Trust me guys and gals, it's usually a lot better here than this.

Hey slaming all the X2 lot is bang out of order. It is only a few people that are doing it so don't go shouting at the rest of us. Anyhow are you not damning posts like this one? So you say it's wrong to slag off the 'others' yet you then go and do it yourself! I believe that is called two faced. If these people are getting under your skin report them and get them banned.

As for FreeLancer I'm 100% going to buy it and can't wait. I've been waiting so long it is starting to get silly! But at last it is almost upon us! With luck it will be as good as the GREAT Starlancer.

Sheesh! Loki's right: their few bad apples are what's causing all the trouble, and then when our bad apples get thrown into the mix, well, all hell breaks loose.

I think we've discussed this issue far enough, and hopefully have cleared up all the misunderstandings.

I didn't read every reply to this thread (first time i read it).
In this case, it's the same with soccer hooligans: a little group spils the fun for the rest. I didn't see alot of X2 fans here but the ones I saw, gave me a negative impression of every single one of them. It's gotten even worse when I read some threads (dunno whihc link that was). Barib explained why he deleted the post and then the next posts is about censourship (sp?) and about us as TLR regulars defending the choices DA made and that we didn't want to admit that those changings were "harming" the game. Those guys really pissed me off.

I'm glad I saw a bunch of replies made by the normal X2 fan who can like an other game in the genre to!

Just entered X2 forum (actually, I only heard about it here) to discuss whether and why it's worth to buy the game (I played a prequel) and got no negative responses. I guess all above-said is right - no need to worry about few when the vast majority is fine. Funny enough, those guys who wanted to provoke rivalry (call it what you will) succeeded - well, at least in provoking a lot of heated discussions. Why don't we ignore the troublemakers - a provocation not reacted upon usually dies by itself.

Hi guys! First, thanks to all you X2 guys who have joined the discussion. I'm sorry if I portrayed the X2 community badly in my original topic. I really meant the loud minority, so to speak. Even now, Snowy for example continues to troll. He came here giving the impression that he want to learn about FL but he has even admitted on the X2 forums that he only came for fun (guess what that means) and was seemingly encouraged. Anyway, thanks again. I really hope this hasn't created an irrepairable rift between us. Both games have a lot of potential. I believe we can coexist easily but trolling behavior from some really needs to stop.

That "I know this is going to be locked" was meant a little bit humoruos and sarcastic. As almost everybody knows, when you post topics about your post count, those topics always end in spamming. That was what they wanted to prevent

IT'S A SANITARIUM! We're all InSaNe over there! To fully understand the humor of psychopaths you have to become one yourself. Just stay there a few weeks and you will.

Oh, and insulting can be fun for the whole family as long as nobody takes a break to feel offended.

Im part of the X2 forum too, (N.aqil1) and like many of us, im hoping that X2 and FL will get along finely together and hate to see criticisms between the two games (aswell as with EVE:TSG).I am sharing my interest with all three games and like i had a point when i first joined many of the forums...im not spying for any of the forums and hope its MEMBERS too will get along nicely and welcomingly with eachother...peace to CCP,EGOSOFT & MICG!!!!
