David Henry aka Harrier (R.I.P.)

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

I'm so late... I've been wandering around here, somewhat stunned by this man's untimely death, with nothing to give...

5 minutes ago, i finished a song. It suddenly occured to me that it would be perfect for him. I'm sorry for being so late but i literally start on this song 3 hours ago and just finished. I hope you find solace in this.

Eyes Through a Window

The best of wishes to you.

I didn't know Harrier, and I hardly ever come to this forum any more... but I will come here and pay my respects.

Rest in peace, Harrier.

From my perspective, I met Dave in the forums quite quickly - we were both interested in mods after all

Firstly through reading his posts, and later through speaking to him on MSN / Voice comms, I was fortunate enough to get to know Dave a bit

What I did experience is that he treated everyone kindly, equally and with respect. It didn't matter if you were 14 or 80, a pro modder or a complete novice... or just someone looking for a chat - Dave was genuinely interested in hearing from you and genuinely interested in talking to you. He was incredibly friendly and easy going, and had a natural enthusiasm (which came across very strongly when speaking to you) for nearly everything - including the work that you would be doing.

He was a terrific guy, and it really is a sad loss indeed - but his personality ensures I have nothing but bright memories to remember him by... and I can only thank him for that

I only had the pleasure of speaking with him here on TLR and maybe 1x or 2x on MSN.
He was a very patient man and prolific in his assistance here. His help was invaluable to many here, myself included.

We lost a good man.

Sucks that so many bright and influential people are taken by cancer each year. My thoughts & prayers go out to Harrier's family

i was wondering why i hadn't seen him on msn recently i guess now i know, he was an interesting man to talk to and loved his gardening, can't really say much more because im quite saddened by this...

Tawakalna contacted me not long ago, and asked me to express his condolences as well. As a cancer survivor himself, Taw understands what Dave's family are going through to some extent, and wishes them well.

Good bye, Harrier. Rest in peace, friend that I never got to meet.

Post Sun Mar 04, 2007 2:17 pm

David, although I never knew you, I feel that i've lost a comrade, a friend, a brother-in-arms and your passing has opened a hole in my heart that I didn't know I had.

I wish you the best of luck Harrier, where ever you may be, it's my sincere wish that we get the chance to meet elsewhere, in another time.

God speed.

Greetings everyone. I just wanted to let you know that I attended Dave's funeral today on behalf of the community, and in order to pay my respects. At the funeral I was able to meet Dave's son Chris and other members of the family and express our condolences in person. It was nice service, short and respectful, and was organised by Dave himself I believe. In any case, Dave's family wished me to pass along their thanks for your kind words once again.
