What would you attempt to do if you could not fail?

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Speed the world's time clock up to jump to the end of things.

Re: The US Budget

Well, maybe I'd only take the money allocated for defence. That should set me for life.

Failing that (heh), I'd build a machine that allowed me to stop and start time for everything except me at will.

but how would you eat, or drink, or interact with anything? there was a rather delightful short story about this, possibly written by Arthur C Clarke, about a man who had a device that stopped all time around him (or was it that time had stopped and his device shielded him from the effects?)

It also reminds me of a kids TV show called Bernard's Watch that was broadcast a decade or so ago, where the main character had a watch that he could use to pause or resume time at will. I remember attending a number of organised philosophical debates in university over the viability of such a scenario; it was taken as a good example of the complexity of time, but the thought of hundreds of students and university professors sitting around arguing vigorously over the content of a kids' TV show still makes me smirk.

i'd invent an economical and safe fusion powerplant, FTL travel, contragravity, and lead a libertarian revolution that would replace all legal code with democratically created constitutions. elected judges would make rulings on whether a crime has been commited based on the constitutional merits of the case(no victimless crimes) before allowing a trial by jury and deciding punishment. libertarianism sharia-style if you will

@Taw:
I'd use it to think. Need to say something profound? Pause time and have a ponder, start time again and appear (to everyone else) very, very insightful and intelligent.

@Acc:
What a curious concept for a TV show... Seems a bit harsh to stop him using it for greed, though.

I'd pass high school.

If i could not fail at one thing, I'd want to take a test that would give me my degree - that way I wouldn't have to have another 6 years to finish. trying to get a degree while working full time sucks.

Kids, stay in school. Graduate college with a full blown degree.

@ Taw: I remember watching an episode of the Twilight Zone that had a simliar concept or theme. There was a man who recieved a watch from a poor beggar type person because he did something charitable for them. Of course this watched stopped time. He used it to bypass bank security and steal gold. But he dropped it and it broke while time was stopped, causing him to become stuck in time, per se.
