First game you ever played? [Arcade doen''t count eaither ya

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Oh yeah, forgotten... consoles!
In that case, I think Sonic The Hedgehog 2 on SEGA Mega Drive.

Castle Quest on the BBC, Elite on the same BBC and 3D bomb alley on the Acorn Electron.

I also remember Spy Hunter with great fondness - on the SpectrumZX

Goldeneye for the Nintendo 64

@Spixude, the Space Quest and King's Quest games were the bomb! You also forgot the original Police Quest games. I wish Sierra would re-release these games in a box set or something. Those were classics.

Yikes!

I remember King's Quest, thought I was never very good at it. Damn alligators. I had that game for the Tandy 1000, with a whopping 640K of memory. Two 5 1/2" floppy drives. I think my other favorites from that were Chuck Yeager's Flight Simulator, Marble Madness, and some shareware bit called "Bouncing Babies"

@Shroud-

Hover came out with Windows '95. You must be a youngin! However, it was still quite excellent, and I enjoyed it very much. A rather challenging and well done game for its age.

Anyone remember Chex Quest?

Pong!

Say no more.

Super Mario World for the SNES.

That one game got me addicted for the rest of my life...

Elite, it has to be Elite. It was the only game where I couldn't do one of the most fundamental aspects of play. It was, of course, docking. It was also the game that got me hooked on gaming.

People who take drugs are bad.

Damn customs agents

Mechwarrior2. I loved that game. But i dropped it for a while.

FOUR YEARS LATER
"Huh, this game looks kind of cool, Tank commander middle east wars." or something like that. Good game, had no clue how to play it, than after that, it was generals, CoDd and so on.

In the Arcade - Gauntlet is what I remember after Pinball Machines - 1985

On the PC - Shogun - 1986

have you smeared fondue on your monitor again, topher? Shroud said "not arcade!" and Micro$oft Cuckoo-Clock Simulator doesn't count either!

Post Tue Aug 15, 2006 10:42 am

Taw, don't you know that topher is a rebel...He mentioned the first arcade game just because the man told him not to. big ups to topher

Post Tue Aug 15, 2006 11:31 am

Yeah, that's right... He shouldn't have excluded that from those of us who had started loving video games in an arcade!!!

Anyway Taw, what's that about a Microsoft Cuckoo Clock? I have apparently failed to grasp the essence of your jab at my early computer experiences.
