Most of the country seems to be in mourning at the moment, although we played so terribly it isn't really too suprising. As soon as it got to penalties we were resigned to defeat anyway...

As far as the Brazil/France game...wow! France played the best football I've seen all tournament and Zidane was incredible. I'd put good money on them winning the whole tournament to be honest...well, I have got good money on them winning the whole tournament. Seeing as I have France in our sweepstake at work I stand to win £100 if they go the whole way.

I am now backing France, I was shocked by the dismal performance by Brazil - it was pants. Yet again they managed to perform badly, yet still wobble a very strong french team (I was shocked at how the French have picked themselves up and played better!).

Zidane was pure joy to watch, Ribbery was electric, and Henry was good

the french team felt nearly asleep during the game and had only luck
the 2 best teams already played... argentinia and germany
both just played awesome in the games before and when they played each other it was said that the winner of that match wouldnt have to face a strong opponent anymore
from what ive seen in the last weeks this is true
so germany will kick out italy this evening and then the final is going to be no real problem ^^

but you know germany won the cup 3 times already (1954, 1974 and 1990)

Yeah...Everyone also said France wouldn't beat Brazil We'll see who wins...its impossible to choose a victor now, but I'll be rooting for France as well. I think they have had the toughest path to the top, playing Spain then Brazil (Italy played Aussie and Ukraine, Germany played Sweden then Argentina, Portugal played the Netherlands then England) and they have performed well. And with Thierry Henry, anything is possible

personally,my money is on Germany.

just take the games and see the results... france was the weakest of all teams that are left

Ha, I'll agree with that. Ironically it actually worked against them in the end, as the ref obviously got fed up with the incessant diving and disregarded a couple of genuine fouls against them.

I'd be happy if France won to be honest. Not just for the money but because (IMO) they've played the most accomplished football of all the teams and deserve recognition for that.
