I'm not a freemason, but I was always under the impression that they were sworn to secrecy, not allowed to talk and all that. Kind of like Omerta. All I know is its not like on "National Treasure". At least, I hope not.

I am not, but my Grandfather and uncle were. When I was a kid I remember my gpa telling me that "they" would contact me should I be deemed worthy as a man. He also talked about how, no matter where you were, if you were in trouble you could call out some phrase and any fellow masons nearby would immediately help.

Unfortunately, at least where I live, when I was approached it almost seemed like a mass recruitment was taking place. But yes, they do have their secrets; my cousin has a book that he won't discuss.

Also, ever been to a freemason funeral? One of these cats qoutes this HUGE monologue word for word from memory. I was impressed. Course i'm a simple farm boy. ;-)

A brave supposition to think that the secular freemasons could recruit more than the mighty recruitment machine that backs up the Jesuits.

Not really. Masons are in all walks of life, street workers up to CEO's and they are just as secretive.
