This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Giants - Citizen Kabuto..
PC
1998
Err...action / strategy / base building first person space land-vehicle combat?
The game involved having the player as a sort of commander on the moon during a secret terratorial war between the US and Russia. From inside a sort of - well - space tank the player could issue orders to construct a base, defence towers, factories to produce more vehicles, power units etc, all from the first person. There were also mission objectives, from defend a base, to attacking the enemy or send out salvage vehicles to collect other enemies destroyed tanks. You could get out of your vehicle and get into others, or fight on foot in a space suit. This game is very underrated in my books, i just loved the unique style of combat...wd to anyone who gets it.

Battlezone 2.
Which, due to some very primitive and poor DirectX implementations, didn't run on anything past DirectX 6. Which made it one of the games that I saw at $50 and passed up, to buy at cheaper prices... and just imagine the incredible disappointment when I tried to run it under Win2K and DX8... it would CTD halfway through loading, every time. A game that, had it not been so darn out-of-the-box and with better support for modern OSs, would probably have become a cult classic, alas... is just another piece of digital roadkill.
And for the follow-up, my question:
What game features the Whale and Flower Pot from the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy as objects you can encounter at random during play?
