Hey Eskie, I''m huntin'' Wabbitsees!

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

it can't be. can it?

it's the natural enemy of all things Tawakalnistic, Emperor Mustang the Last, Grand Llama of Sweet B*gger-All! What impels you to return to the fray? your pet bunny needs a hand against the nasty Tawakalnis?

Things have changed since last our paths crossed; we Tawakalnis have become adept at urban warfare and insurgency rebellion - showing our enemies that we are not to be trifled with, using such tactics as mixing up the glass with the plastics in the recycling bin, putting the junk mail back in the postbox, inviting the Mormons in for a cup of tea and telling them about Beelzebub - oh yes, we are a farce to be reckoned with now!

Should you wish to come to terms early and avoid a devastating conflict, I suggest you join me for talks at the Indycorp Habeeb-Habeebi Superior Hotel, luxury grade, where we can discuss commercial opportunities for the exploitation of rabbits erm I mean peaceful ways to coexist. My financial advisors at Indycorp, lovely people btw, can arrange appropriate transportation and accomodation, with a generous living allowance with hot and cold running female assistants? Sound reasonable?

don't bring the Rabbit though....

Indeed he has been omnipresent in his absence...erm, yeh...that's it.

Anyway, his return may be due to the many invites issued on the secure channel for the good folk of TLR, lurkers included, to come and wish "Tors" well on his birthday and provide him with the gift of the 1,000th post on that self same date.

Either that or Aisian Poetry flu has become airborne and is now spreading up the hills and into the Hidden Kingdom .

MUSTEEEEEEE!!!!

Helooooo there mister l'l'lLLama Man.

Well...

There was a Llama called Musty,
Who's post count was growing quite dusty,
When along came this rhyme
And about bloody time
The Llama came alive in a verse.

He's alive after all!
Was the Jubulant call
Cancel the mourners,
And the death march horners.
There's no need anymore for a herse.

No liking for towels or burkhas,
No time for commoner workers,
He cut to the chase
Laid Taw to waste
Then ran away with his nurse (shut up it rhymes, and if you know Musty, it fits.)

Well Taw held out an olive branch
Invited the King to Indy's ranch
Where they dicscuss the issues at hand
And get the rabbit out of Tawaklanistan
Which Musty thought was perverse.

Betray Esquilax? My ally! Mutant brother?
Confused me you have with someone other
Than I, Grand Llama of the Hidden Kindom
I will not accept your paltry randsom
You cannot fit me in your purse!

Welcome back Musty!
Happy Birthday "****" Insert birthday boy's name <<here.

@Druid: That stuff about Musty was total cobblers, really, crap. I know that you are only a drunken, Irish, used car salesman, and a second rate one at that, but still don't give up the day job. Of course none of this is due to the jealousy T.D.CoOp has of SwissDru enterpirses and it's current capitalist-impirialits expansion.

*waves dismissive hand pooh-poohing imaginary accusers of jealousy*

None-the-less, it did help bring me one step closer to the grand prize. Keep up the good work Swiss.

1,000 HERE WE COME.

(*Not that I would know Mustang of course, before my time and all you see.)

Post Thu Nov 09, 2006 9:17 am

bah *Tors* you're only jealous because you're not in the grand poobah club and you're only friend is a smelly rabbit.

for those who don't know, I hate Mustang even more than i hate Eskwilurx, the only mollifying factor being that Musty is slightly better at computers than Eskwilacks - they're both rubbish though.

<waits for Swiss, *Tors*, or Indy to get post 999. Just don't let the Rabbit have it, it's bad enough him having the largest thread in TLR history dedicated to himself!>

*sighs*

Oh well. I suppose I should be the lay up man. Here's post 999.

Odd that the Grand Llama would choose this moment to join a war, that, basically, isn't being fought.

*riffles through contract files*

Hmmmm. Indeed. It would appear that a newly emerging beliigerent nation may be in need of arms and materiel.

*looks for Mustang on map*

1,000!!!!

YAY!!!

1,000 posts of grade "a" waffle.

Not just spam mind, this is well thought out and carefully constructed COBBLERS!

Now the odds on managing to hit that on the exact anniversary are what? Eh? Well, erm, big anyhooo. *takes a bow* And the odds on likkle ole "Tors" being there just on time to post it eh, are, well...bigger?

Well, the Wabbit has asked that I reveal my true identity at this stage but

A: In all fairness nobody really gives a rats arse who I am at this stage.
B: If they did find out the sense of anti-climax would be too great for those that would have given a rats if indeed they posessed one.
C: Even if I claim to be someone at this point, shoore who'd be b'leivin' me in anyways eh?

There are those of us that are truly curious.

1000 pieces of spam *Shakes head*

@FD: I always figured you had just looked at the IP a long time ago?

EDIT:

@effers? You mean to tell me that you don't know either? Are you serious?

2nd EDIT:

@ff: Of course I was careful for the last year not to say anything too "me" so to speak and since not too many call you "effers" that is more of a clue than I have given to the others...but I still can't believe you don't know. That has to be a joke. Really, please tell me you have not spent so much time behind the lens that you have stopped seeing the bigger picture.

While a long protracted battle over the hearts and minds of reactor members does sound enthralling, I fear my long time hiatus would render me impotent in such a conflict. However I could not possibly accept such a meeting, unless of course it involved some form of whipped cream bikini with said female assistants? Therefore I return in merely a supporting role to the bunny until my powers on the board are consolidated. In the meantime my shock troops of rocket powered, roller skate laden wombats will be deployed into the battle zone. Their mission: To insert Esquliaxian grown carrots into the tailpipe of the TawMobile, rendering it unable to start. And if there's time, raiding the Tawakalnistan liquor cabinet for all the choicest selections.

Odd that the Grand Llama would choose this moment to join a war, that, basically, isn't being fought.

Unfortunately the use of prose in battle was a cherry that even the Grand Llama did not have the will to resist.

Ehhh! Musty old chum! Glad am I that you have returned. Your support and rhetoric is, as always, appreciated . Together, we will defeat the evil ex-Mullah. Hey, do you want to take over control of Tawakalnistan (now called Esquilaxistan)? We could call it "Mustantopistan" .

Well, better late than never as they say (bloody timezones!). Yes, the 1,000 post milestone has been reached. This is truly a glorious day for the Rabbit-King, his supporters and his subjects. It is truly a testament to the animal magnestism of the Great Chimaera, as well as the commendably long attention spans possessed by the regular posters in this thread, as well as those lurkers still following it (you know who you are).

Of course, I can by no means take all the credit. We couldn't have arrived at this point without the dedicated posting of many others including the not-so mysterious (except to ff ) "Tors", Druid, Para, Jask, Final, Jaggy, and of course Indy and Taw among many others. Yes, this is truly a symbol of the sort of rampant spamming that is permitted, nay encouraged, by the OT forum here on TLR. I hope that you are all as proud of this accomplishment as I am, as well as depressed as I am when I consider the number of hours that have been spent posting here . In honour of this occasion, I will do my best to craft another poem, but this one will be about this thread. Hmm, it's not easy... Alright, try this. *Ahem*

"An Ode to a Thread (on TLR)"
(Better title pending)

"A thread was created in 2005,
Posted by a man who had been locked out,
For many months the thread continued to thrive,
Detailing war between Rabbit and lout.

Over days and months the war persisted,
Supported by bird and occasionally jugged hare,
Despite the Mullah's forces the Rabbit resisted,
Inspiring his followers with oration and flare.

During this time Parabolix was present,
Posting anti-rabbit sentiment in postings large,
His opinions the Rabbit began to resent,
But then Parabolix did vanish, like a mirage.

Month after month the war dragged on,
With assistance offered by Indy and Druid,
The Mullah fighting with automatic weapon,
The Rabbit subsisting on fermented fluid.

The Rabbit's army fought with religious zeal,
While the Mullah's army fought out of fear,
The rabbits the Mullah's favourite meal,
The Tawakalnist's a pain in the rabbits' ear.

It was at this time that allegations were made,
The Rabbit offended at links draw to "Tors",
'I'm not "Tors" you fools, leave me be!" he bade,
The Rabbit and protested with barely a pause.

A time soon came in which the battle was won,
The Mullah forced to flee to a sunny resort,
Esquilaxistan was formed and war there was none,
While the Mullah kicked back with an occasional retort.

It was at this time that the Rabbit-God did perish,
Replaced by a Rabbit-King crowned through Divine Right,
A sad event to many, for he was a God that they did cherish,
But the Rabbit himself obtained many a knight.

Soon however, the thread did reach immense proportion,
Attracting a Llama and occasional lurkers,
And so this author must speak a word of caution,
The battle must continue, for rabbits hate burqas."

Take that, feeble imitators!

If I have missed any significant events, let me know and I will add them.

ff - *Sighs and shakes head sadly, and hopes that ff really is joking*

"Tors" - Happy birthday to you and your "secret friend" .

I bid good good health and cheer
Dear Lord (lard ear) bunny big ear
A wish for you this joyous occassion.
Fine are your words that protray
This our year long liason
In mind of Tors Denneti's birthday.

Not for one minute early last winter
Upon loosing my keys aft out for a snifter
Did I even imagine that today we'd be posting
Regarding the event, the war and it's folk
Jumping and whooping, nay even boasting
'Bout Towels and GB, Vampires and Cloaks

A smirk I must offer to effers poor chap
To Final also I must don my cap.
With so many posts and so much crap spoken
An end to this thread in dreams I fore saw
I turn up my collar and pull down my Stetson
Walk away from Indy, Dru, Esqui and Taw.

Now if you think it's easy for kept secret a year
Finish with stanzas, AA, BC, BC, GB Ginger Beer
Then if you are so clever and better than I
Just tell me one thing and let it be done
Who is Denneti, "Tors" the spy,
The doppleganger to blame for starting this fun?

Regards:

Edison Trent.
