Hey Eskie, I''m huntin'' Wabbitsees!

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

I recognise this one. He is Zoltan, Bunny of Satan 2nd cousin by marriage to Esquilax.

Post Thu Apr 06, 2006 1:51 am

he's the same colour as Esky too, note the bedraggled grey fur, worse for wear after years of dwelling in the dark and damp with only *non-alcoholic* GB for consolation...

You know, I tried to post a reply to ID's comment yesterday, but TLR was playing games. As I am not at the Burrow, but currently sitting in the "Qantas Club" at Brisbane Aiport using one of their free computers , I will have to post the aforementioned reply tomorrow (I'm on a business trip... seriously ). It's too bad that I don't drink, as this Club has free alkihole too. Ah well, I guess I'll have to stick with ginger ale. Drag .

Taw - I'll have you know that my fur is as sleek and shiny as ever. I resent the implication! Just because the Burrow leaks when it rains...

PS. Before anyone says it, the "Qantas Club" is not an adult entertainment venue! This rabbit doesn't go in for that sort of thing.

hold on one moment there, El-Ahrairhair; Brisbane is nearly 900 miles (as the Rabbit flies) from your home Burrow. You led me to believe that you'd never been further than Geelong, and you didn't tell me in advance about this first foray out of Victoria

it was one of those *secret* unregistered flights at nighttime, *raabit rendition* I believe they're called. I thought there'd been a suspicious lack of rabbitry over the last few days....

Waring Esq has been on the rampage, BBC has a posting on it, Click Here

seeing as the Hare is now air-mobile, and his avatars and minions are now within range of Tawakalnistan itself, I'd better alert my defences. Lapine shields, I think. He wouldn't risk harming his own kind.

mind you, it's a pacifist army so what the flup am I worrying about? We can chuck 'em all in the stewpot!

The Laxequine has a job, don't you know. One which is unsupervised *muwahahahaha* he gets to do whatever he thinks needs doing. So, naturally, it must include a flight to somewhere away from burrowland ... to sample life out in the open air at someone else's expense.

that'll be not very much then.... in his job which has absolutely nothing to do with werkin' for da man....

good ol' Esq, what would we do wihout him? pick on someone else, probably.

Taw - Hey, it's not my fault that you don't respond to my emails. I can't just send you an email saying that I am going to Brisbane for a workshop/seminar and am making a presentation can I? I have to lead into it in order that I do not end up boring you. Besides, this wasn't my first trip outside Esquilaxitavia. I travelled to Tasmania for the Ginger Beer Festival a few years ago . As for what you would do without me, nothing, that's what! I'm a comedy gold mine. You would have a hard time finding someone as "mockable" as me! Wait, that's not a good thing! Damn it!

As for the job, I don't work for "the man"! I'm creating a PHP interface that allows file uploads and metadata insertion into a back-end that is comprised of a Postgres database and (eventually) an encrypted Linux partition. I'm working for Crystallographers. The whole PHP/PostgreSQL thing is outside my role as an Information Manager, but the people I'm working with don't pay me, so if the system works then they'll use it, otherwise they won't. I still get paid by the people affiliated with the project I'm part of either way, so I can spend time refining my PHP/DB skills. It's a win-win situation.

Final - There were rumours that one of Esquilxitavia's (unsanctioned) experimental genetically-engineered super rabbits escaped from our London quarantine facility, but those results were never confirmed. I'm sure that those resports are merely a coincidence .

And now for the aforementioned reply to ID...

ID - Yes, Zultan has always been a mean drunk. I try to stay away from him during family gatherings, as he has no respect for those of us who embrace sobriety, but he has some amusing stories. I remember the anecdote that he told me last week in which he said that he was nearly run over by a car driven by a drunken Irish guy. He wanted revenge, so he took down the number plate and waited until the car pulled over, and then chewed through the brake cable. Good stuff.

Post Sat Apr 08, 2006 3:23 pm

I seriously hope that drunken Oirish driver story is not aimed at me fein (my self, pronounced may faine ). To begin with the only vehicle I operate when drunk is in Sirius, which is where I'm off to next and if, and I mean IF I bohtered to pull over after passing a rabbit, it would only be due to the fact that I had missed it on the first pass and was having a go at roadkilling the vermin in reverse.

BTW: Congrats at the jetsetting stuff et al.

Post Sat Apr 08, 2006 6:44 pm

Thanks ID. The latest news is that I am attending another workshop/seminar this week, and I get to repeat the presentation I made in Brisbane. Yay. At least this function is in Melbourne at an expensive hotel, so the catering should be good .

Post Sun Apr 09, 2006 7:01 am

@Esqui: Jetting off on company business and living it up in s****y hotels? My brand of materisalistic capitalism may be getting through to your furry little head after all.

EDIT: I dropped in to see what was going on only to find my four asterix auto censor and had to think about what I wrote that may have been blanked out. No it was no sh1tty I know better. S.w.a.n.k.y is a vulgarity now? I just have to type it again to see if that is what I posted: Test--- s****y --- end test.

For ol' censor, there is a pronounced aversion to a certain activity, it would seem.

Anyhooo.... I'd never stay in a hotel that would allow admission to gargantuan rodents. *sniffs*

Post Sun Apr 09, 2006 8:02 pm

No, no, no. *I* didn't stay in a hotel, not will I on Wednesday. Last week I went up in the morning and came back home at night. On Wednesday, I just have to take a train into the city. I will however, enjoy the comfortable surrounds .

Post Sun Apr 09, 2006 10:55 pm

@Indy: Sad that the censor should have to edit the innocent yet eloquent words of a master debater such as I.

@Esqui: That is more like it. Hop into someone elses back yard, rummage about in the veg, relax in the garden, and sod off back home. True to self!
