Careful with that fallic bragging kiddo, this is a family site, for the family.

As fer yer horse creds, if I recall correctly you are fabled to be the "horse-hare" with the body of a rabbit and the head of a rabbit. Unless the horsey aspect is with regards to some as yet unmentioned feature of which you are ever so proud and wish to "unviel" to us, I think our concentration on the furr-ball-hoppity nature of your being is thoroughly justified.

ID - It is "hare-horse" (according to Ed anyway ), and the rabbit aspect is only present due to the aforementioned "Rabbitisms". You should know by now that in their native form the esquilax has a rabbit's head and the body of the horse. It's not my fault that you guys jumped on the rabbit aspect and ran with it. Ah well, I'll let you have your metaphorical cake because we all know that without me, your (online) lives would be meaningless .

in the few representations of this relatively un-fabulous chimaera that I've seen, it certainly looks like it's got the head of a rabbit/hare and the body of a rabbit/hare and possibly the legs of horse and what assuredly be the tail of a hopper (it's not a horsey tail) but it's not a 50/50 bunny/horse split, more like 80/20 with the majority going to the wabbitsees.

this doesn't look very horsey to me...


(wow Google image search turns up all sorts of weird and wonderful Esquilax references, apparently our *beloved* pseudo-divine antipodean chimaera has avatars of himself dotted around the globe! with e-mail addresses too...

...urgh, i just checked out the Tawakalnas, there's some loser in S. Calif pretending to be me. How sad is that? that some internet fool should seek to pretend to be another internet fool!)

I could say that the pictures that you refer to are misleading images and are designed to denigrate the Rabbit-God as well as provide him with a form that can be more easily understood by the mortal mind, but I won't .

well, why don't you enlighten us and reveal your true form to the world? we promise not to blame you if our retinas burn out or we suffer psychological trauma.

There is no good image of the Squintylox. Partly due to his insistence of hiding out down burrow plus consuming mass quantities of gaseous GB to create a defensive atmosphere for himself.

Those who would be eye witnesses have had to admit to having been to teary eyed at the experience actually to have gotten a clear view of the creature.

For all we know, he might not be a hare horse at all. He might be something else altogether more horrifying, more horrifying than Paul Hogan, even.

@Indy; Your theory is indeed most interesting. Research shows that the evil nature of the Esquilaxaitve use of cloaking itself in some fashion dates back at least to Ancient Greece. Plato, when discussing reality as no more than a shadow made by fire light and thrown onto the wall of a cave, warns his audience of the dangers of misreading the images. The evil Esquilax is primary in his thoughts and the false "shadow" image versus the reality of its true evil nature are portrayed in vivid detail.



The present hunt however shows the beast not to be a hare-horse, at least not quite, but more of a rat-bunny-donkey.

Well that depends. What is your domain and who are your people? In addition, no-one has ever worshipped you which is one of the key prerequisites. Plus, you must be ordained through a special ceremony which includes a bath in the Holy Libation. I doubt that you have enough GB to do the job .
