@jake
That'd be Morgan Freeman in seven - I saw it the other week as well

How about this one: "Sad to have a dream you know won't happen"

Post Thu Dec 01, 2005 4:14 pm

I can't beliver no one has figured mine out, it is rather well know, and not that long ago.

Post Sun Dec 04, 2005 6:20 am

OK this is an easy one.

1st man: I want the truth!

2nd man: You can't handle the truth!

Post Sun Dec 04, 2005 6:22 am

that's so easy I'm not even going to answer it!

Post Sun Dec 04, 2005 6:26 am

I'm going to try mine again -

First man - "I can see you"

2nd Man - "You can't win!"

A hard one with the lines used.

If you can't get it with those,

Man - I'm ok, but your going to have to drive."

Post Sun Dec 04, 2005 7:04 am

nope. we still ain't getting it FD Southern Comfort? Pulp Fiction?

Post Sun Dec 04, 2005 8:57 am

Try a blinded man, seeing a man composed of fire who says, "You can't defeat me!"

The same firey man earlyer in the scene said, "I should have known he would send his Bit*** !"

MAn swings a metal bar at the firey man and he explodes.

Apocalypse Now - The connection being Laurence Fishburne stars in both films.

I can't recall the actual quote though, could be as they move up river towards Marlow's lair they can smell the decay or it's just part of the "I love the smell of napalm in the morning" speech. Anyway, it was bleedin' obvious with your love for Heart of Darkness n' all!

Post Mon Dec 05, 2005 11:10 am

bang on. it was Col Kilgore's intro his napalm speech. Your turn it is.

Well it's not that great but I really enjoyed the movie and it's linked to Apocalypse Now:

"We got a warrant sworn for attempted murder for those that tried to kill the boy who's laying over there at the Doc's, trying to stay alive. Swore out another 'un for them that murdered the big fella you had in your cell. Only ours ain't writ by no tin star, bought and paid fer, Marshal. It's writ by us, and we aim to enforce it."

I'm gonna say Open Range. Connection being Robert Duvall.

I liked the movie, of cousre I like westerns so my opinion might be biassed.

My turn then... following with connections

"He doesn't have a name... So death can't find him."

That'd be what the little girl says to the one eyed bad guy in Waterworld. Connection being Kevin Costner.
I'm also a bit of a fan of westerns (which mostly gets some form of disapproval from most people my age in the UK!), although I can't stand anything with John Wayne in.

It's kinda tempting to loop this round with Dennis Hopper back to Apocalypse Now, but I won't. So instead, an easy one:
"What are you drawing?"
"A liger."
"What's a liger?"
"It's pretty much my favourite animal. It's like a lion and a tiger mixed. It's bred for its skills in magic"

Still linked to Waterworld in some way.

Well, that's Napolean Dynamite... but what's the connection. Was that little girl in waterworld napolean's love interest in the move???
