Ginger Beer

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

A "God" double posting...Well I never!!!

Or are you the god???? With some simple research I concluded that apparently this is the true Rabbit God. And this is that Rabbit, and his friends, in preferred form.

Bah, more anti-Rabbit propaganda! Do I detect the sickly scent of Tawakalnist ideology? Yes! No wonder the self-proclaimed "Rabbit-Hunter" appeared out of nowhere and has commenced his militant opposition to the Rabbit-God! Para has sold his soul to the Mullah *shakes head sadly*.

Oh, and in that first picture, that basket isn't full of eggs .

@Para,

Nice rendition. Points of mild critique:

The Wabbit's helmet looks more like a collander with holes cut out for ears and said ears covered in aluminum foil.

The sword in fact is a petrified carrot of gigantic proportions.

Post Mon Nov 07, 2005 6:47 pm

Indy, you've hit it on the head, the sword is infact a petrified carrot, sort of like the rabbit's way of rubbing in the fact that they survive, and apparently kill, by nature.

Esky, this Rabbit Hunter doesn't need outside influences. My rabbit hunting is based solely on my own accord. While I agree with the Mullah's views on Rabbits, I personally support the disparage of all rabbit rights and will not rest until they are all destroyed.

Haven't been able to find specifics on whether Bundaberg Ginger Beer may be sold in Saudi or other strictly Halal observant countries. But I did discover that Marmite would be haram unclean ... Being made from brewer's yeast, it technically is tainted by alcohol and/or its function in the making of alcohol.

What can I say? Carrots are very useful for both offense and defense. And we'll see about that "Rabbit-Hunter"...

Post Tue Nov 08, 2005 1:29 am

not so useful for these guys though... the fate of all bunnies that disturb the peace of Tawakalnistan... and my dinner

Send in the special forces, Taw has kidnaped Esq's relatives

Post Tue Nov 08, 2005 7:49 am

sorry to hop late into the rabbit-camp

I'd be interested in knowing exactly how they did that.

The Swiss "Feldschlösschen Group" (belongs to the Carlsberg Group now) has established the so-called "Moussy" in the Middle-East Market - and it is 0,0%. The Beer is brewed traditionally and then the Alcohol is taken out by "vacuum-destillation" (whatever this is - lol). Check this site: Moussy Languages: English and Arab

The company claims to be very successful with 9 varieties: Classic, Dark; Apple, Blueberry, Cherry, Lemon, Peach, Raspberry and Strawberry.

Scandalous: no Ginger Beer.

Post Tue Nov 08, 2005 3:49 pm

Taw - See? Such inhumane treatment *must* be fought! That is why the Rabbit-God will one day destroy all companies that cruelly imprison animals, and will also destroy those companies who utilise animal testing! Oh, and foie gras farms too. The Rabbit-God will "fight the good fight" for his animal brethren!

Zaz - Thanks for that but... no GB? *Shakes head sadly*

In trying to find out more about the sale of ginger beer in Saudi Arabia, I found out that Saudi is in the top 5 of nations that import ginger and this is a country of barely 20 millions.

It is possible that ginger serves as a very pervasive flavoring agent so that the idea of a ginger flavored beverage isn't on the "must taste" list of the average Saudi consumer.

Post Tue Nov 08, 2005 8:59 pm

Bah! If they like ginger, then they should like GB! It's only logical .

Ginger is indeed a very popular root in the Middle-East and not just for flavouring but also for its therapeutic and medicinal properties, none of which I deny by the way. But the fermentation process of ginger beer being essentially alcoholic, albeit in small amounts, makes the product completely haram and therefore unconsumable by devout Muslims. As you might imagine Muslims drink vast quantities of soft drinks and have a long history of making such, *sodas* as Americans would call them, sherbet being an early and particularly pleasing example. In my many wanderings in the Middle-East including recent trips to N Africa, I don't recall seeing much if any representation by the Bunny's tipple outside of bars for Westerners.

although the Seal and I did partake of some rather lovely ginger and melon sorbets in the Tunis souk on a particularly hot day.

Don't blame me. Esquilaxitavia has been doing its best to negotiate trade agreements with Islamic countries for months, but we have had no success. Must be Rabbit prejudice...
