I was referring to M. Flavius Valerius Constantinus.

Roxalana is a wonderful sounding name for a girl, don;t you think? it was a choice for my first daughter's name, along with Phoebe or Lucia, but we ended up calling her Aemilia. lovely name for a beautiful child.

A friend of mine got married in June - her new name is Carol Hunt. Poor girl. Rather unfortunate.

Roxalana is a nice name but everytime I think of it I get a mental image of Sting screaming Rooooxxxxxxaaaaannne....

EDIT: friend's name edited shorter so as to avoid search engine spidering (knowing my luck )...same effect though.

Luckily no, but they've recently been considering baby names and Michael did come up as a "strong contender". It was at the point that I had to point out the glaringly obvious. Poor girl still doesn't see what is amusing about her new name and I really haven't the heart to tell her.

Any name that carries a deeper meaning, esp. when that meaning is well-suited to the person bearing that name.
