Movies you love to hate

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Movies you love to hate

dunno why,but i thought it would be fun to have a movie-hating thread.here are the rules:
1.post the titles of movies you hate along with any explanation you might feel is necessary.
2.no flaming others or arguing/debating opinions - no mention of movies that you actually like.if you would like to do that than please start another topic.

have fun!

i'll start the ball rolling;

Austin powers 2 & 3,pure excrement.nothing but toilet humor and midget jokes - strangely enough i liked the manshow(before the hosts bailed).*note that i mentioned a show and not a movie,this is acceptable*

the Phantom Menace,like really man - the menace wasn't just a phantom he was non existant.i won't mention the Hated One's name but he pretty much ruined whatever novelty the movie had.

Shaun of the Dead,i like horror films but i guess i'm not enough of a Romero fanboy to get all the references that pass as humor in this slow,foot dragging film.

Rocky & Bullwinkle,would have been nice if it had been ALL cgi or ALL humans - the lesson is,don't mix CGI and liquor.

Wing Commander,Chris....why oh why!?DIDN'T YOU LOOK AT THE SHIPS THEY WERE PUTTING IN IT?They're friggin firework's mortars taped to what appear to be D cell batteries...and Freddie Prince Jr...?wtf is all i can say to this crapfest

Dawn of the Dead(the original)
Biodome(Biodumb)
Laserblast(Leonard Maltin must have had a crack addiction at the time he reviewed this movie)
Eraser
Ice Age
the Matrixes 2,3,4,or however many there are
Airplane
The Quest for Fire
Legally Blonde
Soul Plane

@Trekkie
I wonder why

I reckon the films I hate the most are Star Wars 1-3 (in particular) and anything released after 2002 rated below 12 (because they are dire).

I hate loads more films but they are too numerous to list here

I may be a trekkie but Star Trek:Insurrection was just terrible...no decent space battles (it was all cut),bad acting and man..Troi and Riker AGAIN!argh!!!

and like a phoenix i'll return from the ashes....with the help of the re-spawn key

You can't get me to hate any of the Star Wars movies, I'm too forgiving. Let's see: the movies I love to hate. Starship Troopers 2, Jaws 2-4, Kill Bill Vol. 2, Most movies based on videogames, Jurassic Park III, Dreamcatcher(and the book), Batman Returns, Batman Forever, and Batman & Robin(the original one with Michael Keaton and Batman Begins are the best ones), and pretty much anything with Steven Seagal or Chuck Norris.

Spacejam - no explanation required.
Constantine - was so bad I laughed through the whole thing
Snatch - lesson?Brad Pitt,besides being a terrible actor,cannot do dialects
the Karate Kid(s)
the Replacements - another stupid sports movie,sadly it featured Gene Hackman whose work i normally enjoy

some of the dumbest most immature movies i've seen yet;
Dodgeball
Road Trip
Old School
Anchorman

Post Sun Jul 24, 2005 4:54 pm

the star wars prequels are defintly up there, but in their defence I have to say that they made the saga focus on rise, fall, and redemption of anakin skywalker rather then his winny son lol.
the fast and the ferious 1 and 2. bad acting, bad directing, bad script ( or rather no script lol) but guilty pleasures non the less lol.

Blessed Be to all those that still dream of the flight to the stars.

The star wars prequels were ok. They may of had sucky story but what does story matter if you just watch movies to critique the special effects XD

I can't think of many movies recently that I've actually hated. I saw Oceans Twelve and Meet Joe Black recently and slept through both so they both rate pretty lowly for me. I was unfortunate enough to see Bulletproof Monk when that came out at the cinema, now that was god-awful.

@Cold_Void, Dodgeball, Road Trip, Old School and Anchorman all set out to be dumb and immature so in their eyes you just commended them!

@Trekkie, go watch Collateral or Magnolia, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

I've seen both of those mate..the only exception which Trekkie forgot was Eyes Wide Shut for obvious reasons
other than that i agree with trekkie
