Other games

Hello!

I love space simulations and I'm currently looking for (old and new) games. I personnally liked Starlancer, Freelancer, I-War 2, X-Wing Alliance, Wing Commander... but I'm sure I must be forgetting some other really good ones! It would be nice if you could suggest me some of the games you liked, you are currently playing or are looking forward to play!

scroll down a lil ways, theres a couple of threads about the new privateer remake, i'm currently playing it, its got everything fl players have been wanting, huge universe, ai controlled turrets and a working cloaking device in single player.

X2 The Threat is great, but a little slower paced. OK, a lot slower, but it's still damn good

Other good games? For me, the first one's EVE Online: Exodus, but that's just me. You can go to Gamershell and get a free 14 day trial.

More... I enjoyed X2 alot, heard of a game called "Space Wolves" or something similiar. Might check it up for you if want. There should be a topic called something similar to this floating around the Freelancer Discussion forums aswell.

Currently I'm into Halo 2 so there's not so much space cruisin' for me

There is a game that came out recently called "Star Wolves." I downloaded the demo and installed it, but couldn't get it to work on a Windows 2000 machine. From the description, it seems like you control a wing of bounty hunters but the player only gets to fly their mother ship(?)

you failed to mention two of the most amazing games ever, freespace 1-2... sheesh...

Those are joystick flight and totaly awesome. cheap as well

You also failed to mention the Descent series they are as good as freespace and freespace is part of it

The only copy I've found of freespace 2 is on amazon.com for over $100 US. I'm hoping that's an error.

but does no one else on here play real time or turn based strategy games?? Honestly...

Yeah, Wilde, I play the old Age of Empires games. Mostly because I run it on all of the computers on my network and play LAN games with my friends.

Its harder than most of the Space sims u've probably seen.......because there are real Physics and how u kill ur enemies depends on where u hit them......one to the center of the hull of a Deltawing and swoosh its gone

I play Civ3 and Rome: Total War.
Age of Empires must be burned, shot, injured, crucified, shot again, pushed off a cliff, drowned, have it's eyes poked off by burning stakes, have it's skull cracked open by an otter, and then killed.
