You still haven't defined what constitutes "serious stuff", and I'm going to keep heckling you until you either define it, or give up in despair .

nearly all serious conversations have a central theme, and the 4 which warrant really highbrow conversation are banned here, (as mentioned before, religion, war, politics and sexuality) and the majority of threads are locked or deleted very quickly.

anything truly serious will never be able to be seriously discussed on this forum. im sorry, but nearly every "serious" thread i started ended up in a big pile of immature spam about crap.

i hate to say it demonslayer, but the pepto bismol thread really doesnt make you seem like the one for really intelligent conversation.

OT here has been on the down for a while, i must have joined just before the peak. it was awsome, then it went downhill. its kinda sad to see a site that i used to continuosly hit F5 just to see if people replied, now i wait a day or two just to get some immature response. *sigh*

Seriously, Internet forums are dying right now. You can't find highly intelligent discussions anymore anywhere in the net. There is either spam or just plain abuse. A good sign of a dying forum is when there's way too much mods replying. No offence to anybody. But this is seen in most of the forums I visit. The world ran out of topic.

Talking on forums is like talking to relatives. There are only so many things to talk about, until you start to repeat yourself. But, that does not mean you can not talk about the samethings again. Like sports, people repeatedly talk about their favorite teams, even if they are the same and did the same as last year. Eh, same with forums, topics will repeat themselves often, best is to find a new angle on it, and go from there.

Just stuff like sports, whats going on in the world, etc. Not immature crap.

SW - Today went well on TLR. I edited 20 posts today - my best yet ! - and warned 2 people that their threads could be locked if other modertors saw fit. Stinger also contacted me, asking for a few more immature 12 year old kids to populate the forums while all the regulars are gone, and then I did the usual "Burn Taw's photo daily" ritual, as all moderators do. Also, that nasty Neo made my initials "SW", NOT "sw" in his immature post. What an evil little man ...
