MS Anti-Spyware Free Beta
This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

This just replaced Ad-Aware/Spybot Search N Destroy on my "must have" software list.

Its just a shame that when MS should have made this years ago, instead of companies like Lava soft for adaware, and Spybot search and destroy doing all the hardwork. Only after all this time do they finally get off their butts and implement this now!
What they should also do is make 2 versions of IE. One which has just a basic web-browser - with very few security problems, and then the other can have all the fancy trimmings etc etc. Same for windows in general - its fine packing it with all the stuff they do - however, most basic users never even need 80% of the features that it has - so whats the point in having them for them?
Don't get me wrong, I will end up getting this anyway and using it - I just don't like the fact that its taken far too long to do! Don't worry, they will bundle it with Longhorn - at which point Lavasoft and Spybot will sue for unfair anticompetition laws

ff - Maybe he does. After all, he *does* have a heavy beard .
Final - Bah! People should be cleaning their cookies/cache at least once a day. Still, I guess that it is a good feature for lazy bums (ie. the vast majority of the public) .
Chips - I doubt that MS would be stupid enough to start bundling the anti-spyware program with LH, especially after they were slammed in Europe for bundling "Media Player" with Windows. Still, they might surprise us .

Thanks bp! I'm going to give it a try, but only because I need to reimage my computer in the next few hours, and I want to test it. I ain't leavin' it on ma machine!
Chips - I doubt that a case could be made against MS for bundling a firewall, mainly because the average user doesn't use one, and those that do rarely trust the MS firewall. Still, you may have a point; people will sue anyone for anything these days, and companies like "Zone Labs" want their piece of the market. By the way, that SP2 firewall is piece of junk!
Oh, and by the way, as I have been typing this I took the liberty of installing the program and running a full system scan. Anyone want to guess how many trojans and pieces of spyware it picked up? That's right; zero! I don't know what you people have been doing with your machines if MS-AS is picking up trojans *shakes head* .
