Aranic News report

In one swift movement earlier this morning, the Emperor passed the decision to open fire upon strategic positions on earth. The decision follows his highly controversial inception speech, stating that he intends to 'cleanse' the human race im immorality. Although the speech was accepted with heartfelt support, many people are beginning to question his motives. at least 120 thousand are now confirmed dead in project purification, including the almost complete extinction of at least 8 Oceanic mammal species on earth earlier today. Dolphin and Whale lobbyists, shocked at this mornings actions, are visiting the Emperor's household this afternoon to negotiate the preservation of at least some of the population.

The Emperor hopes that this mornings actions, although not completely effective, will provide an effective 'shockwave' attack, instilling fear into the earth population and discouraging them from following this sort of behaviour. Tacticians in the Aranic fleet, in a press confrence held shortly after this mornings attack ended, are not so confident, saying there is at least a 64% chance thet Earth will rebel and oppose The Aranic Empire's decisions, engaging in such actions without remorse. The AI Prometheus was unavailable for confirmation of this data.

Would you ever happen to pass through the Graveyards in the east of a sector known only as NQ-148648, you should notice all the lots of rubish lying around. But this isn't really scrap. It's the graveyard of the Progenitors. And the Graveyard is full of life. Just now, it seems these ancient relics are gathering for war...

The Progenitor armada is one of the largest fleets in the world.
They house small nano-crafts only tenth of a milimetre big, to the massive Titans, spanning often ten solar systems. The fleet use normal weapons, and electronic warfare modules. Unlike many other fleets they can cloke their engine signatures and sneak up on any ususpecting enemy. "Original" cloaking is standard in any Progenitor ship.

The Progenitor armada today dispacthed a diplomat to negotiate a temporary peace with the Aranic Empire. It will be well protected; the Aranic are advised not to open fire. Any atempt at threat will make a large abyss between the empires.

On other hand, the Titan "Apocalypse" are rallying to the place where Tango 13 were shot down. If any pirates are found; we will cleanse the area!

It is confirmed that the Emperor and the Council have authorised a full-scale assault on a number of inhabited worlds, including Earth. Confirmed counts now stand: at least two hundred thousand dead across eighteen planets, and at least one hundred and twenty thousand dead on earth alone. At least 2 animal species are confirmed extinct on earth, with a further 20 thousand unique lifeforms destroyed on the remainder.

The Fate of Earth now rests in the hands of the Aranic diplomatic team, who will be discussing earth’s future with delegates from the Orillion Imperial Navy later this week. The strange blue glow in the sky has been confirmed as a full-scale Aranic Breeding suppression field, designed to restrict reproductive Hormonal responses in earth organisms until diplomatic negotiations are complete.

The Empire has also released construction blueprints for the latest weapon that has been outfitted on each of the purification craft. The ‘Incinerator’ torpedo, as it has been called, carries a 20-kilogram nanotech payload. The nanomachines onboard have been selectively engineered to absorb energy and release it as heat on contact with organic material, effectively ‘incinerating’ whatever it comes in contact with. A few of these warheads alone are capable of turning a Jupiter-sized planet into an inhospitable wasteland, devoid of any life or water.

Animal lobbyists have been turned away from the government with distaste. Although the governments plan to preserve the genetic structure of some animals for examination and possible reinsertion, lobbyists are worried about the possible long-term ramifications the attack will have within both the empire and the Supercluster.
