The image is less than two GB and, because it is stored on a local drive as opposed to a network drive, it is significantly faster to reimage.

i got norton, in wiped my comp clean and i can get free software from universty of toronto...

now all i need is the spybot and adaware thingys

So go download it already DSQ. No need to update us with every little thing. Finalday gave you the links to download both of them 8 days ago. No way its taking more than 8 days to download them.

In my opinion, vital software for the Less educated end user-

Windows XP (Either) WITH SP2
Windows firewall ON
Another firewall to block up Windows' open ports (NetBIOS, RDC, etc...)
Spybot S&D
Adaware SE
AV software (any will do, but i reccomend wither norton, Trend micro, or Mcafee)

Software for the Paraniod End user

Windows XP pro SP2 or Linux
Firewalls (at LEAST 2)
Spybot
Adaware
AV
Cain 2.5 (an ARP and APR password auditor/network analyser. little beauty caught the last person who crashed the network, he was hijacking my computer traffic)
LC4 (to check password security)

it took me 8 days to get my PC to go the internet, and i wasnt saying gimee da links i was saying thats all thats left and problem is taken care of
