It seems like something about Radiation...

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Haven't tried it yet Shark, I really only got to spend half an hour with HL2 before I had to go out. I'll try to load it up when I get home tonight and get back to you.

EDIT: Worked fine, doesn't look that much different but they have made a couple of nice changes. Definately better than the original.

eskie, you mean to say you've been ignoring the gravity gun? shame on thee...

Actually people, I *have* been using the G-Gun, however evey time I used it on the buggy, the game crashed. Luckily it sorted itself out, and now I'm in the middle of some urban combat .

While I'm here, let me ask you guys a question; why the hell doesn't my collector's edition boxed set have a bloody manual? Is it too much to ask for a glossy manual? I can't even find a PDF on the CD. So, am I suposed to have one? The only booklet I have is the "Prima" guide .

Finally, how well does it run for you? I'm running it with maximum detail, on 1280x960, and with 4x AA and 8x AF. It runs really well when I OC my graphics card, but it's a little ****y when I don't OC.

eskie, are those settings what hl2 set itself to? for the manual you can get one from steam, you need a .pdf reader.

ff - Download the manual off Steam? *Shakes head* Idiots. As for the settings, it stated that my "optimal" settings were "High" on everything, "Reflect World", no AA or AF, and a res. of 1042x768.

maybe you should lower them, maybe it'll chug less

The game is perfectly playable with the aforementioned settings, even with a three striders on the screen at the same time. I wish I could prove it . Of course, the game crashes occasionally, most likely due to my overclocked graphics card getting too hot, but it is worth it .
