I can not wait until november 9!

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Haha. Got you. As you saw this thread's title, you probably thought, "Great, another idiot babbling about Halo 2. This is gonna get locked SO fast."

Really, this is about Firefox. On November 9, Firefox 1.0 is being released. I'm definitely getting it. Am I just weird, or does anyone else think Firefox is infinitely superior to all the other browsers?

No shouting please, caps hurt my speakers

Firefox is probably the best browser, although some people swear by Opera like Taw.

1.0 RC1 to be precise. I didn't know it was coming so soon. I'm using PR right now, and other than the plugin manager not woring for things like Quicktime, it's very solid. Good to hear it's on the way.

I'm using PR right now as well...its not like 1.0 is going to be that much different thought, what's to get all excited about lol. I didn't even bother geting the RCs.

i freaking love firefox. I only ever use Internet Exporer for checking websites against while contsructing. Alas i cant figure out how to setup firefox to run on My local web server/IIS (grom or someone, if you know email me now)
Im running Firefox PR1.0 and its infinitely superior to any other browser out there at the moment. I thought it'd be a shock to the system changing browsers like that but now i cant live without it. On IE i keep middle clicking links so i can read on while the page loads in another tab in the background. One day Firefox will rule the world.

Same here, firefox seems the best at the moment, and best of all, no pop-up ads !

*Shakes head* After the many months that I, Taw and others have spent advocating Firefox, kimk still doesn't know that it is opensource! *Shakes head again*

Has anyone noticed how the links at the top of the forums look all messed up in FF?

But all in all, im about 80% satisfied with firefox. A few little things irritate me, such as not storing the cookie approved/deny exceptions in the registry (cant use .bat files to mass import anymore ) and the fact that my css "remove link underline on hover" features do not work. A few other things but I wont get into them.

I do LOVE the themes however, and I like the security (no more spyware getting shoved into your comp when you click a linky!)

I thought Halo 2 was November 10th or 11th or something.

Anyways, Firefox does rock. MSIE makes me sick now. Nothing can replace tabbed web pages.

november 9th in america, and november 11 in europe and other places.
i had friends who went out and bought it at midnight when it was released and skipped school the next day (today)
damn them...i dont get it until 5:30 (which is about 30 minutes from the time this is posted)

No, Halo 2 came out today. I haven't tried Firefox, but Safari's pretty bloody good. Certainly better than explorer.

At the bottom of the list, of course, is Netscape.

Got the new one. Nothing noticeable different from .91, except that a couple of the themes won't work. Other than that, no difference. A couple of pages on the net do act differently. They have highlighted parts, link, than now flash, which IS annoyng a little.
