As I recall it, he was a staunch supporter / user of Opera. BUT he did rave about Thunderbird as an e-mail client.

Tawski loves opera. It's a good program, however you have to pay to get rid of the ads (or find a serial key) which is one of the reasons I prefer Firefox. Ads in apps .
