the red sox!

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Horray Sox!
Actually, I'm not a Sox fan, I just love it when the Yankees lose, so I was very happy when the Sox beat 'em, and I'm also glad that they broke that "curse" thing.

Yankees Stink!

I'm not a big fan of the Red Sox. But I'm actually happy that they won. It's the first time that the Red Sox have won the World Series since 1918. This must be overwhelming for them.

Damon's Grand-slam + two run homer ,was in my mind, what gave Boston the final big push to the end. Overall, it was a fantastic run (both through NY + STL) Though, you can argue that Ortiz was a major contributor with two game ending hits.

I don't support the Sox, but I was really chuffed for them when they won....it must have been like england winning the football world cup - completely unexpected! Really pleased for them.

Mariners fan here. (Boston second favorite) So I was extatic when the Red Sox beet the "damn Yankees". Even more incredible to beet the record of comming back from a 0-3 defficit in the ALCS to beet the Yankees! Never done before. Then to sweep the Cardinals, who were having a great season up to that point.

Incredible.

As a life-long Cubs fan I have to be a Red Sox fan too Any people here that know about baseball know that both teams had a "curse" that had stopped them from winning the World Series. The Cubs haven't won one since 1908 and the Red Sox HADN'T won one since 1918.

*sigh*

I guess the curse of the Bambino has finally been vanquished. Yankees had no pitching to speak of.

Now the question is whether Steinbrenner will pick up ol' Pedro Martinez seein' as how Pedro's a free agent now.

My god... More reason to put in the salary cap. It is completly unfair for every other team in baseball that the Yankees can go out and buy whoever they want. I can't stand a Yankees fan that says that it is completely fair, 95% of Yankees fans are only there because they are backing the team that has the highest chance of winning.

Even though the Mariners have never won an ALCS, I will still back them all of the way, and curse at the Yankees.

As a Big Baseball fan, I am extreamly happy for Boston and thier fans. Yes they did beat the Yankies..HA..HA..HA.. and hopefully the curse is gone. Being Canadian hockey was the thing to watch { not for me} Now the Jays are the only team left...I also would like to say that I also am apalled about the wages given to them at the expence of the fans......Thanks...........AZAR

Wow I had no idea so many people here would actually care lol. It is true that most Yankee fans olny support them because they win the most, Red Sox fans however, have a real reason to support them, and now I am hoping that the Cubs will win soon, doesn't their curse come from some guy not being let into a game because he wanted to bring his goat in?? and then he cursed them?? anyways I went out and bought 2 t shirts and a hat for the occassion

You can run, but run fast.... 1 shot is all I need.
