Found a gem of a game

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

lmao, that's just like giving a little kid a big cookie and saying "I really, really don't want you to eat this" or putting a massive shiny red button in the middle of a room with the sign above "do not touch!"

btw, what is warez? or is that a forbidden topic????

if no one minds a quik run of warez, it is trading that people do of registered programs. i have been in a warez room (chatroom) and a guy will say i will give you this program if you have that one. its ilegeal were i am at. anyhoo lets not stray from freespace i have the demo and am buying the full thing off ebay. so far the game is bloody amazing, and FS 2 is 1999, so its good for the time

Warez is the trade of illegal/pirated software.

Actually, as abandonware is technically illegal, it *can* be considered "warez".

Personally, I feel that abandonware is morally acceptable because of the fact that, if a company no longer supports or offers a game for sale, then it should be made publically available.

yay heltak didn't go

If something really and truly has been abandonned, then no legal rights to it may be sustained. That being the case, abandonware isn't exactly illegal. It's just that it isn't pristinely and purely legal.

i detest crappy downloaded warez games and the people who do it. how can you promote a game no matter how much you like it if you essentially stole it? I paid for my copy of FS2 and I'm bloody proud of it. quality software like that should be supported by putting your hand in your pocket and shelling out for it.

i appreciate people who for no fault of their own and naven't got two brass pennies to rub together can't go out and pay full whack for stuff, and have to get stuff on the say-no-more, but please don't advertise the fact.
