With the new one, Ivan, has anyone else noticed the satilite views make them look an awfull lot like V-ger from ST I?

That's one of the reasons that I love Melbourne; nothing worse that the odd flash-flood here *rubs it in* .

Well Esq, We now have that flash food warning. The rains have started hard and heavy. Some creeks are expected to crest well above flood stage, and some apartments built along rivers and creeks are expected to be flooded out. Because of all of it, I get to be stuck at work over night. Though I can't really do anything about it. What I dread, is the straong winds. After the soil getting satureated, the trees will be comeing down. Major mess then.

Their saying in the papers over here today that there is a strong possiblity the New Orleans will be destroyed by Ivan. As in New Orleans is no longer on maps destroyed

Ivan hit farther east so N. Orleans was spared. But there were 53-57 foot swells noted on waves approaching the barrier islands along the coast that did get hit.

ahh the joys of living inland in kent, if it does flood only thing that will be destroyed is a whole lot of pikeys.
