As for badminton.... I never knew how much of a work out it would be until I was forced to learn to play it in order to satisfy my College curricula and graduate.

I know, a lot of my friends are ignorant to it and see it as "a girls game"....I play twice a week, so they constantly rip me for it....but there is no other game that will make me ache like that one. I love it

EDIT: The US Basketball team were still very very good - albeit a little over-agressive in defence - but I think they were just beaten by the better team....twice Seriously though, I just don't think that the team is as strong as it used to be, they're missing some key players....thats why I hate it when I still hear commentators calling them the "dream team".

I never said that I don't like the olympics, I really, really like them. And to Grom and Badminton: I can understand what you mean, but it's not just that its fun, its knackering. Most don't think of it of a sport where you could collapse to the floor from all of the dehydration while playing, it's tough, and I like it I havn't been playing lately really due to lack of space, which is really sad. *swoosh*

It's true. This year's BBall team is no where near a dream team from an NBA perspective. Still, they are some of the better if not best and brightest coming up in the ranks. They could have done much better with more preparationa but also, with some humility which they really didn't have except for a few... some of the ones that were interviewed.

Their best chance at winning was if they would jell and play as a really cooperative team. They made a pretty good effort at it but... not quite there.

When it comes to basketball, the US trains stars and the world trains teams, and both schools of thought suceed wildly at their goals. --- VH16
