noone will let me see killbill but they all watchde it so why cant i?

Post Sun Jul 04, 2004 6:21 am

because its an 18 little monkey.

we've been through this many times. You are not watching Kill Bill until you're old enough and that's that, moaning about it on the internet won't make it any better; it's an 18cert and you're only 10 (in a day)

(your sister gets to watch things like that because she's virtually grown up and has always been a lot more mature for her age, and even then there are some things your mum and I won't let her watch.)

I'd forget AvP as well if I were you, that's an 18, so you won't be seeing that at the pictures either.

(and stop posting in off-topic without telling me first)

*Gets out the harpoon gun*

The whole "Spiderman" thing along with almost any other comic/anime/cartoon - film has sucked.

The acting is ok but it's let down by the fact it triews to be more than it is.

Next year, the Fantastic Four...

For the masses and uninitiated, the comic book films are decent, but nothing compared to the comic books. it was a shame that mystery men didn't have Flaming Carrot in it. but that would drive the common filmgoer away from such titles. Its the same here, if studios pandered to every one of the loyal fanbase's whims, omeone else wouldn't be happy, like the rest of society.

Im amazed, the highest rating we have here is R18+. and that was given to Kill Bill, only just. AVP will probably get an MA15+, where its restricted to under 15s.

But thats a subtle difference between cultures. ave maria!

The way I figure it, though, is that these movies were made to be enjoyed like all other movies, as my dad always says. They're just movies, that's all they are. Lots of people love comic-based movies, like me. And others don't. That's life. It doesn't bother me at all.

Amen mee. Whats good for one isn't good for another. Some like cruchy peanut butter, some like it smooth. And some like me avoid the argument altogether and dont eat the horrid stuff.

Meh I'm all in all pretty damn dissapointed with the current crop of movies. Sure spiderman 2 will be good side thrill, but there hasn't been a good movie since cold mountain. Everything lately is a Hollywood cash grabber.

What are you saying Mustang? That Hollywood Execs are in it for the money?

Post Sun Jul 04, 2004 11:52 pm

Theres usually 1 movie i see out of every 'batch'. Take Away was one, I saw van helsing last month, and i saw spidey 2 last week.

but then there are people who have to see every movie and then ***** about how it wasn't up to their "expectations". damn militant movie buffs.

I admit, very few movies actually make me pause and think. Perfect Blue (madman) was one, The first Matrix movie was another, and when i first saw Alien as a kid i didn't sleep.

but thats me.

so far this year I've only seen 3 films at the cinema that really stood out; Kill Bill 2, Last Samurai, and Zatoichi.

(not counting Jersey Girl, as it was very good rather brilliant)

She tastes like the real thing

Gotta warn you guys, Daredevil stank worse than soiled diapers. Buying that before seeing it the library (or anywhere else for that matter) was a huge waste of $20.

The SpaceNuts always return.

BTW, the reason for the name change is simple. Have you ever seen Yukikaze? Do a Google image search.

Ooooh. You saw Zatoichi at last? I don't remember you saying anything about it.

Post Tue Jul 06, 2004 8:49 am

I saw it in April, how remiss of me, I'm sure I must've mentioned it at some point. I frickin' loved it, it was totally insane, like Kill Bill on crack/acid combined! trying to get it on DvD now..
