With the soon playing, out in the US, of Spiderman 2, taking 40Ml first day, I was wondering on the thoughts of all the comic books being turned into realife movie. Spawn, Spiderman, Judge Dredd, and so forth. Any Thoughts?
bulletproof monk was comic book? ****sake. that film was awful. i had to dismantle my shrine to chow yun fat after seing that.
theyre a bit comic book mad at the moment:
Batman : Burton is my new god
Batman Returns : My fave batman film so far
Batman Forever : NEON gotham? oh dear me NO!
Batman & Robin : **** YOU JOEL!
Judge Dredd : good GOD man kill me now
X-Men : Yay!
Spiderman : PWN!
X-Men2 : Oh dear
Hellboy : It was ok i suppose, i never read the comics though, although i hear theyre a great read.
XLG : Cant believe i paid to see it.
The Punnisher : beats the Dolph Lungren (sp?) version, but thats about it.
Spiderman 2 : heard its the bomb! cant wait
Upcoming movies:
Constantin : i believe its from a comic, keanu reaves woodens it up searching for half demons
Catwoman : And thus dies my very last jot of respect for Halle Berry
Batman Begins : Bale, Caine, Wantanabe, Oldman, Neeson, Murphey this film has potential all over it.
Yeah, alot are rolling out, i personally would kill to see someone make a movie or series of the Sandman comics, something really dark would be ace.

Why Little monkey, thank you for the info
bahhh, I liked the Judge dredd movie but thats just a matter of personal taste, I'm a sucker for apocalyptica. the other film I am looking forward to is the new Punisher movie.
The only other comic Book series that was filmed that I liked when I was Little Monky's age, were the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, god I loved those, but after a while they published so many cartoon rip offs of it that the interest just got stale.

well thank you very much, "Little Monkey," fyi I do NOT snore, and I think i have every right to sleep through any film you drag me to see at my expense. Maybe you'd go to sleep too if you didn't stuff your little fizzogg full of overpriced E-numbers before whatever tedious formulaic sequel that's out this week begins to roll.
LM's granny will be taking him to see Shrek 2, I've bailed.
We will NOT be going to see Around the World in 80 Days, even if Jackie Chan is in it, because I don't like Jackie Chan, it looks ridiculous and there is only one version of 80 days worth seeing, and that's the one with David Niven.
yuk it up, Manhattan boy, you'll be joining the queue's for Harry Potter & The NeverEnding Quest for Easy Profits, Spiderman 17, and X-Men: Wolverine's Pension in a few short years. Enjoy. Have a great time at the outlaws btw

Spider-Man 2 is the movie to see this summer. I just got back from it. It outclasses every movie I have seen in theaters THIS year. It kicks the s**t out of Chronicles of Riddick, it snubs Hellboy, and makes little work out of Kill Bill. The way they pulled off Dr. Octopus was nothing short of spectacular. The guy who plays him, Alfred Molina, is incredibly believable as Otto Octavius. The special effects are fantastic, but in THIS movie, it's definitely about the people. Toby Maguire does incredible as Peter Parker trying to juggle his day-to-day life while trying to save people at the same time. Everybody gives a fantastic performance and there are a couple of twists in the movie, too, although I won't go into them here. All in all, Spider-Man 2 does NOT disappoint.
"makes little work out of Kill Bill"
you were doing ok until you said that. There is no comparison between a complex film like Kill-Bill and any of those effects blockbusters you mentioned. S2 may well be everything its cracked up to be but its a Hollywood merchandising moneymaker like all the rest of the summer biggies. Kill Bill is.. something else, entirely.
