This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Saving Fluffy

I was at one of my normal sites i visit when i came across this.
In a nutshell a kid made that site to help him raise money for his cat. Its apparently pretty sick and he needs $500 bucks to have the operation done on it. Its only been up two days but just through what hes got so far hes already halfway there.
I dont have the cash to send him, but I'll give him the props for his plan to raise the money he needs. He even has a link set up to accept paypal.

That kid's got a lot of heart. It's really touching actually to hear that people are actually donating to get this poor cat the treatment she needs. I hope he gets the money he needs and saves his cat.

I gave a few quid, but why didnt his folks take out pet insurance? for cats its nothing, i insure ours for £6 a month and it covers all vet bills.

I can't send him any money (stupid parents) but I sincerely hope the cat'll be alright.

Oh my god, how can people fall for this sort of thing? It's just a scam designed to tug on your heart-strings and squeeze a few bucks out of people. Operation indeed, this has proven to me just how easy it is to get money from people. So easy in fact, that if I wasn't so lazy I'd probably do it myself, that and I can't use html.

Oh and pet insurance, I wonder if you can get that over here. I'll have to ask around.

People have it all wrong these days, instead of discriminating and hating others for being black or ugly, we should practise fairness and hate every living thing equally.

smells like a scam to me to be honest and its quite a good one at that, but not good enough to make me give money to them

Neo - Maybe we are. If you remember, Indy happened to mention the all-seeing eye in one post. Get the picture?

Gowser - It's a "good scam"? *Shakes head* .

Note to self: Add "my cats poorly, please donate money to help" to list of perfectly executed internet money making schemes.

this is great. its not a scam...its just a matter of being the first to come up with the idea.

Like the guy who said "please help me raise £20,000 for my student fees"...and 6 months later he'd made £500,000 in donations. And then there was the "pay me a fiver and be in with a chance of winning my house" - the guy trebled the value of his house.

Its probably absolutely genuine - its just the first time anyone has asked for money for this particular type of thing. As soon as people try to replicate the ideas, they fail. I've been trying to think of a good one for years.

The key is to be honest...honesty will show and in turn attract donation.
