Well, it''s that time of year again...

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Well, it''s that time of year again...

So what are you guys doing this summer? I am now officially off school 'til September! Well, except that this Friday, I'm off on my German Trip- Belfast>Scotland>Dover>Calais>Strasbourg>Freiburg... aand back again!
I think the main trip highlight is the Europa Park We spend about a day out of the week in Germany!

And then, I get back on Friday 25th June (my birthday), then I have a whole day to get ready for my flight with my family to...AUSTRALIA! (via Singapore)
Or, more specifically, Magnetic Island, just off the coast of Townsville. There I'll be staying for 6 weeks, amid the splendour of... well probably backpacker *shudders* accomodation, but nice nonetheless.

Have a nice summer! I know I will.

A week in Rome with my family, working for a month and a half, a week in spain with my family from which I have to come back two days early for a 2 week fieldcourse in Wales then back to uni. If the work turns out OK it should be a good summer

I was up near Townsville last holidays with the family. It's pretty good around there. The water doesn't get cold even in winter. Enjoy it!

Hmm, I have my finals till November. No holidays till the 5th, but after that, nothing till March 3! I'm so looking forward to that summer, I can tell you.

brilliant organisation timing by me has ensured that I'm going to get paid sick leave and then two weeks (paid) holiday in the sun before going back to work. so I'm actually wangling over 2 months off work, paid.

/rubs salt in FD's wounds. You need less of a work ethic, my friend, you need to learn how to slack and blackmail so you don't have to do anything like as much work.

I thought that I'd sit around the house and play UT2004 and The Sands of Time until I get a job (Christmas time probably) .

Taw, anymore than 2 days sick leave, you have to have a doctors release to come back. Too many sick days they let you go. I work on a property, 145 units, where I am the only maint. person. Its hard to find someone to cover call for you, and when I get back, the work is piled up. Only get two weeks a year and can not take any the first or last week each month, so that only leaves 2 weeks a month to plan anything. Major Bummer.

I've got a few things planned for summer.
I'm working on a star wars/ninja comedy fan film with a couple of friends (I'll probably have to squeeze every last ounce of geek out of me for that one ).
I'm trying to convince one of my mates that a scrambling route up Ben Nevis is a good idea, even if we end up doing it after he comes back from China where he'll have been climbing a few mountains there!
Then there's the Carling Reading Festival in late August, which is always fun .
Plus I've got all sorts of little plans to do with mountain biking and possibly kayaking too.
On top of that I'm looking to get a part-time job over the hols to save up some money before I head off to uni in September. You could say I'm gonna be pretty busy!

I'm just gonna lay around, hang out with friends, eat junk food, the usual.

Darn, and I'll have to work hard on my dissertation (which I have no interest in) not to be kicked out, not speaking of preparation for the next academic year. I hate my present life.
