ROTK
This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Heltak -- you should buy the extended editions, watch the approx 8 hrs of bonus features for each movie, watch the three or four commentaries for each movie. If you do that, you'll hear them explain virtually every change from the books -- you might not agree with their reasoning (I didn't always) but it will be obvious that they didn't change things unless they thought there was a very good reason for it.
Read this article on BBC news about Christopher Lee's complaint about having his footage removed from ROTK. His scene's WERE FILMED, they just were never used.
And if you still don't believe me, read it from Peter Jackson himself . I quote...
"the scene's great and it will be on the DVD and everyone will get a chance to see it"
AND
"The Saruman scene was one of many scenes we cut. The longer the film was, the less strong it got because you felt like you'd been there for too long and it lost its impact"
and if you want me to find the article I read where PJ announces that the scene will definitely be back in the extended edition of ROTK I will do.

If they were to have made the movies EXACTLY like the books, then each movie would have been at least 6 or 7 hours in length. Nobody wants to watch a 6 hour movie. People who get so worked up over how a movie isn't exactly like the books, like Heltak, really need to reexamine their life. These are just movies, that's all they are. You don't need to analyze them. If you don't like them, fine. Just don't FORCE your opinion on other people who disagree with you.
