ROTK
This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

This one is from about 9 months ago. Pic My last fling at youth.
Esq, from what I have heard, there is no Saruman footage added. THe end of the film strays far from the book. But it would have been 4 hours in the theater alone if they hadn't.
So, I think that this is the best addaptation of a book to film ever created. I have no criticism for the series at all, it was very well done. Now if I could just get a 6 disc DVD player so that I could have a marathon and not leave my chair!!!
"On this ship you are to refer to me as Idiot, not you Captain. I mean... you know what I mean."

"Heltak shut up"
Why hmm?
Because the truth hurts?
THe LOTR films whilst being mediocre to good alone (FotR being the best) suffer from the fact that the books EXIST.
If I had twelve days to spare a copy of all the films( downloaded I refuse to spend cash on this crap) and my copy of the book I would list ALL it's faults. Here's some in general
FOTR - Council
Elron suggests giving the ring to Old Tom.
Gandalf disagrees
OLD TOM + BARROW WIGHTS DIDN'T FEATURE IN THE FILMS
WTF? No Scouring was ever FILMED...They cut the most unique part of LotR out...
Christopher Lee was correct to leave over the fact they were straying too far.
Gimli light comedy? hmmm no
Legolas prancing elf correct... able to kill an Oliphaunt ? No
Aragon fights the king of the dead? No
Need I go on? The films were utter drivel to me and alot of other fans I didn't have to rebuke your "silent opinion" with this post but I humoured you and did.
I won't do it again.

c'mon Heltak that's a bit harsh m8. Course there's stacks from the books that weren't in the films, films of novels always miss loads out, and at least Jackson and his team of writers were honest and said why they missed stuff out and/or changed it. If you were to make it yourself I guarantee you'd have to face realities and butcher it because it wouldn't be commercially viable otherwise.
I've had this argument countless times over the last few years. Yes there's loads I'd like to see back in, Glorfindel for a start, the Barrow-Wights, Tom Bombadil, more of the Balrog, Saruman's humiliation, Scouring of the Shire, but they aint there - so what? they're bloody good films and have inspired thousands if not millions to go and get the sodding books and read them for themselves. What PJ has done doesn't bother me the slightest.
I think you're being unreasonably puritanical and hostile about this. My little 'un can't possibly read the books and understand them but he loves the films and will read the books one day. What's wrong with that?

Heltak, your entitled to your opinions on the films, but you
don't have to be so hostile about it.
The books total almost 1500 pages, it would have been impossible
to fit the scourging of the shire, Tom and the barrow wrights, and
a bunch of other stuff he missed out into three 3 hour long movies.
heck, he was luckly to be given 3 movies to work with.
